Zhongli's role in meta teams is as a Shield support. A lot of DPS characters would enjoy the added benefit of universal RES shred on top of Zhongli's shielding capabilities.

Rotation Of Shielder Zhongli Team

The amount of Charged Attacks that can be done by Neuvillette depends on how fast the rotation of buff applying can be done.

Zhongli's shield can shred the elemental & physical resistance of nearby enemies which makes Zhongli a flexible shielder that can fit in most team comps.

Kachina, Raiden Shogun and Bennett all boost Zhongli's DMG whether through Elemental DMG, Burst DMG or ATK%. If Staff of Homa has high refine like R4, HP% sands is a better choice for Burst Sub DPS Zhongli. Raiden Shogun can also be DPS if Zhongli's Burst did not finish off the enemies.

Rotation Of Geo Sub-DPS Zhongli Team

Make sure to not tap Kachina's Skill twice as it may add time to the rotation. Kachina has to go first before Bennett so that she can trigger Crystallize in order to buff Geo DMG and Electro with Cinder City set. If enemies are still alive, Raiden Shogun can use her Burst mode to finish off the leftover enemies.

Kachina	Ororon Ningguang	- Ororon can also use Cinder City set but you'll have to add a Hydro character if you want to use him as sub DPS as well. - He can also help with energy recovery - Outside of Natlan characters with Cinder City set, Ningguang can buff Geo DMG as well. She can potentially hold Cinder City for 24% Geo DMG buff for the team
Raiden Shogun	Neuvillette Arlecchino	- Both are good main DPS that can apply their respective Element then leave the field with no repercussions. - This will allow the support with Cinder City to buff both Geo and DPS' Elemental DMG
Bennett	Kokomi Yelan Furina	- All three can buff DMG dealt, either through kit, weapon choice or artifact set - Can use any character than buff both Zhongli and the DPS character

In this team comp, Zhongli's shield will not be as tanky. Changing to HP% sands could work, but if needing sustain, adding a healer is a good decision.

Mono Geo with Itto can utilize Zhongli for added interruption resistance and sustain. You can swap out Chiori for a healer if fighting against enemies that can apply Corrosion status.

Rotation Of Mono Geo Zhongli Team

Remember to refresh Itto's Superlative stacks while in Burst mode. But since the team buffs will likely expire before that, repeating the rotation is the way.

Itto	Xilonen	- Though Xilonen is used more for her Support abilities, she can be a good alternative for Geo DPS - Other Geo characters like Noelle and Ningguang can be used but their damage would not be as good as Xilonen's
Gorou	Geo Traveler	- Geo Traveler has a CRIT Rate buff and can produce Geo constructs that can also resonate with Zhongli's monolith
Chiori	Albedo	- Albedo can be used as sub DPS alternative for Chiori - Other elements for support can be used

Using a non-Geo character will make the team no longer mono Geo but if wishing to improve the damage by using a support character like Furina, it can have a good outcome.

Geo Construct Is Capped At 3

The number of Geo constructs that can simultaneously exist is up to 3. When another Geo construct is produced beyond the cap, the initially created Geo construct gets destroyed.

Physical DPS Zhongli makes use of his rapid Normal Attack combo. With Fischl and Mika triggering Superconduct, Zhongli can deal more Physical DMG. Furina increases the DMG further with her Burst and can deal additional damage with her summons.

Rotation Of Physical DPS Zhongli Team

The rotation itself is not strict just make sure that enemies are applied with debuff from Superconduct before attacking them with Zhongli.

Furina	Yun Jin	- Yun Jin boost Normal Attack damage and also activates Geo Resonance for additional damage.
