The Genshin Impact Version 6.1 update "Luna II" is expected to be released on October 22, 2025 as revealed on the recent livestream.
Pre-Installation on October 20, 2025
Pre-installation will be available on October 20, 2025, two (2) days before the Update happens. Pre-installing the update allows players to start playing the new version immediately after maintenance ends, saving time and reducing download delays on launch day.

A new Archon Quest will release with the 6.1 (Luna II) Update. This has been referred to as the "Song of the Welkin Moon: Reprise" during the 6.1 (Luna II) Livestream and picks up where Act 2 of the Song of the Welkin Moon left off.

Genshin Impact: Miliastra Wonderland Launch
Features User Generated Content
Genshin Impact: Miliastra Wonderland is a new permanent game-mode that Travelers can access through the main menu. You pilot a new character called Manekin, or Manekina that you can customize with different settings and cosmetics . After unlocking this game-mode, you'll be able challenge various 'games' developed by other Travelers all around the world.
Cosmetics Can Be Obtained Through the Gacha
In Miliastra Wonderland, you use the in-game currency to pull for cosmetics or clothing. These items also have rarities in Miliastra Wonderland, similar to characters in the main game. The game mode also has its own Battle Pass, Outfit Shop and Gifting system.
The Manekin Can Join Your Party
The Manekin is considered the Traveler's Avatar, and can be added to the party in the main game, but cannot be used in endgame modes like the Spiral Abyss. They have elemental abilities similar to the Traveler, and their elemental-type will also match the element that the Traveler is currently resonated with. The Manekin can also swap to a different preset outfit after using their abilities, but the effect will only last during the ability duration.
Join a Public Lobby to Meet Other Manekins
You can connect to a lobby in Miliastra Wonderland to play alongside other Travelers or Manekins. The lobby can even be customized to your liking. You will also be able to unlock the ability to make a private lobby after reaching a certain Wonderland Level so you can host specific games to play with your friends.
Features an Extensive Editor for Game Creation
Miliastra Wonderland allows you to create fun games with extreme customization. You can link components together to define how they interact with each other, create functions to suit the gameplay you want, and has a library of free assets that you can use to build up your personal game-world however you wish. Of course, there will be tutorials published for you to read up on to kickstart your creative journey.
Incentive Program
There was a mention of an Incentive Program regarding Miliastra Wonderland. What those incentives are wasn't clarified, but it seems to be tied to the popularity of the game you create.
