Best Teams for Mavuika
Mavuika is Best Used as a DPS with Natlan Supports
| Team | Rating Description |
|---|---|
| ▼ Melt Team | ★★★★★ - Mavuika's best Melt team with Citlali applying Cryo and Pyro RES shred. This is arguably her strongest hitting team damage-wise without accounting for specific Mavuika combos. - Xilonen provides additional RES shred, and along Bennett who provides an ATK% buff, make this comp very comfortable to use due to the abundant defensive tools. |
| ▼ Vaporize Team | ★★★★☆ - Vaporize Mavuika with Furina. Xilonen heals the HP loss from Furina's buff and shreds enemy resistances. - Bennett's generous ATK% buff and having Pyro Resonance active further strengthens the DPS potential of this team. |
| ▼ Overload Team | ★★★☆☆ - Chevreuse unlocks the potential of a pure Overload team due to her dedicated Overload-related buffs. She is especially effective at this niche with her C6, which allows the team to be competitive into certain endgame content. - Iansan and Ororon provide Mavuika with Fighting Spirit and their own buffs from both their abilities and Artifacts. - Ororon can be swapped out with another Electro Off-Field Sub-DPS, but Iansan alone may not be able to max out Mavuika's Fighting Spirit. |
| ▼ Overload Support Mavuika | ★★★☆☆ - Because Mavuika's Elemental Skill occasionally applies Pyro while she's Off-Field, she can make a convincing Pyro applicator for Overload teams that have an Electro On-Field DPS. - Her DMG% buff on Burst also furthers her value on the team beyond her application. In some cases, you can split the field time between the On-Field DPS and Mavuika and have her use her DPS combos to increase your damage output, but this is often hard to do reliably without good mastery over said combos. |
| ▼ Vaporize Support Mavuika | ★★★☆☆ - Mavuika's Off-Field Pyro application is just enough to allow for consistent Vaporize hits for a designated Vaporize DPS like Mualani, but not so much other Hydro characters due to their application being much faster than Mavuika. - Mavuika is often the best choice for Mualani since you can also split their field times so Mavuika can execute some combos in between. |
| ▼ Burning Support Mavuika | ★★★☆☆ - Apart from Mualani, Mavuika also has synergy with Kinich in his Burning teams since he only needs Pyro to be applied ever so often to sustain the Burning reaction on enemies. - Mavuika isn't the overall top option for Kinich after the release of new characters, but she is still a very strong candidate for his teams regardless. |
| ▼ Burnmelt Support Mavuika | ★★☆☆☆ - You can also deploy Mavuika alongside a Cryo On-Field DPS and a Dendro Support. Using her Skill, the Cryo On-Field DPS can trigger Melt off of their attacks so long as the Burning reaction is maintained on the enemies, which is considered Pyro damage. - Only using Mavuika to apply Pyro won't be enough Element for a Cryo DPS in a Melt-focused team due to Mavuika's Skill not hitting often enough, so a Dendro character is almost always needed in this case. |
Mavuika's best teams usually consist of 2 or more Natlan supports. This is due to her Elemental Burst using a unique resource called Fighting Spirit, which is generated through both her own or her teammates' Nightsoul Point consumption, or when her party members' Normal Attacks hit enemies.
Citlali and especially Xilonen are the best at this job. But you can make do with other Natlan characters so long as there are at least two in the party. Otherwise, Mavuika might have trouble getting her Burst up in time.
Aside from her DPS ability, Mavuika's Elemental Skill also allows her to be a Support and Sub-DPS hybrid that can apply Pyro to enemies while buffing the active character with her DMG% boost from her Burst.

|---|
A Melt setup is Mavuika's preferred comp since she synergizes extremely well with Citlali, whose Pyro RES shred and Cryo application place her as one of the best Cryo Supports for a lot of Melt teams.
Additionally, Melt triggered by a Pyro hit has a higher multiplier (x2) than the opposite, so this naturally makes Melt the best reaction to build around for Pyro characters most of the time, at least DPS-wise.
Rotation of Melt Team
| No. | Procedure |

| 1 | Start with Mavuika's Skill (tap). |

| 5 | Switch to Mavuika. Use her Burst, then perform your preferred damage combo or simply hold down her Normal Attack to spam Charged Attacks. |
| 6 | Repeat from 1. |
Note! | It's best to remain aware of Citlali's Cryo application on enemies if you're using Mavuika's more complex combos, since these can easily override the Cryo with Pyro and can hurt your damage output as a result. |

Citlali | Rosaria Diona | - Rosaria and Diona can be used as alternative for Citlali since they can equip Instructor to buff Mavuika's Elemental Mastery. - Diona is a more defense-oriented alternative thanks to her shield and healing on Burst. Having her at C6 lets her have more value as a support since she gets a teamwide EM buff with this Constellation. |
Bennett | Iansan Nicole Lynette | - Iansan's ability to be both an ATK buffer and Fighting Spirit generator for Mavuika lets her be a convincing Bennett replacement. - Nicole provides around the same amount of ATK% as Bennett and can be a viable third option for Mavuika if Iansan and Bennett are occupied. But because her improved ATK buff requires you to wait 3 seconds if the active character isn't a Hexerei character, it can be a bit awkward to take full advantage of on Mavuika since she usually wants to use her Elemental Burst immediately. - You can also consider Lynette, since she's able to equip Viridescent Venerer for RES shred while granting a modest ATK buff through her Ascension 1 Passive. |
Xilonen | Iansan Kazuha Sucrose Zhongli | - Xilonen's main role, apart from applying RES shred, in Mavuika's team is generating Fighting Spirit. The shred can be replaced with other characters that provide the same benefit, but you will likely encounter some slight issues with Mavuika's Elemental Burst charge. - Any other character that can apply a form of RES Shred either through their abilities or equipped Artifacts can be alternatives, but Iansan should be able to generate enough Fighting Spirit while also compounding more ATK% buffs. - At C6, Iansan can even be better than Xilonen in this slot. |

|---|
Furina's DMG% buff, Bennett's attack buff, and Xilonen's RES shred paired with the Elemental DMG% buff from the Cinder City set enable Mavuika to deal a good amount of damage with Vaporize, even if the reaction has a weaker multiplier (x1.5) when triggered by a Pyro attack in comparison to a Hydro attack (x2).
Furina's buffs come from her Fanfare stacks, which are tied to her HP drain mechanic. Fortunately, the combined power of Xilonen and Bennett's healing not only offsets the drain but also lets you gain more Fanfare faster.

Furina | Yelan Xingqiu | - Either of these Hydro Off-Field Sub-DPSes can be deployed in place of Furina, but Mavuika needs to weave in her Normal Attacks in between Charged Attacks during her damage rotation in order to apply the element, which makes them harder to use in practice. |
Note! | Elemental Mastery doesn't increase the damage dealt by Overload, so you can focus on giving Mavuika ATK% in this team. |
|---|
Despite lacking a damage multiplier like Melt and Vaporize, Mavuika in Overload teams can still be a competent On-Field DPS provided you have Chevreuse on the team, since she is the premier Overload support due to her ATK% buff, Pyro and Electro RES Shred and DMG% buffs on her C6. A pure Overload team without her is usually weaker by default.
Iansan and Ororon are the typical Natlan support options for reliable Fighting Spirit generation, with their alternatives being noticeably slower at it.

If Chevreuse is C4 or above, use her Burst before her Skill since it negates the cooldown of her Skill (Hold) once.

Chevreuse | Durin Xilonen Kazuha | - While no can truly replace the value Chevreuse brings to pure Overload teams, especially with her C6, you can make do with Durin in his White Form for a bit of Pyro shred. - Other RES shredders can be a choice, but expect the DPS potential to not be up to meta standards. |
Iansan | Bennett Nicole | - Iansan is the best option for Mavuika in an Overload team since she not only provides an ATK% buff, but also generates Fighting Spirit for her. Replacing her may cause some delay in Burst usages otherwise. - You can try to compensate Iansan with another ATK% buffer like Bennett or Nicole, but you might need to ensure that the other spots on the team are Natlan characters. |
Ororon | Fischl Raiden Yae Miko | - As a rule of thumb, you always want at least one or two Natlan Supports for Mavuika. Ororon ensures Mavuika's Burst is charged quickly since you might run into some issues using Mavuika's Burst every rotation if you don't consume enough Nightsoul Points. It's best to include him however you can, or fill the other positions on the team with other strong Fighting Spirit generators like Iansan. |
Note! | Mavuika can still gain max Fighting Spirit when nearby party members use Normal Attacks on enemies. It's possible to use her in a team without other Natlan characters, but it might be awkward due to needing to Normal Attack on the Supports. |

Mavuika's role as a support for an Electro DPS in an Overload team involves using her Skill to apply Pyro, then her Burst to activate her DMG% buff. Mavuika has the best synergy with Varesa over other Electro DPSes in this type of team comp, notably due to Varesa gaining an ATK% buff whenever her teammates trigger a Nightsoul Burst.

|---|---|---|
Varesa | Clorinde Cyno Raiden Yae Miko Sethos | - An Electro On-Field DPS is the the more ideal pairing for an Overload team with Mavuika playing from an Off-Field position. Most non-restrictive Electro characters should be viable for this spot in this team. |
Chevreuse | Nicole Xilonen | - In this Overload team variation, Chevreuse becomes a little less replaceable by Durin since Mavuika already exists as a Pyro applicator, so your next best option would be Nicole for the teamwide ATK% buff, though you would lose access to RES shred. - Xilonen or other similar supports who can shred Enemy RES can still be an option, albeit to the detriment of the DPS since Chevreuse's shred (in combination with her other buffs) is typically stronger. |
Iansan | Bennett Nicole | - Iansan is Varesa's designated 4-star Support due to the inherent synergy she has with the way Iansan's ATK% buff works, which requires continues movement that Varesa can easily sustain throughout the rotation. - Other ATK% buffers are usable but won't be able to fully replicate what Iansan provides (especially at C6), since Varesa also needs characters that trigger Nightsoul Bursts for her Ascension 1 Passive. |
Note! | Mavuika can still gain max Fighting Spirit when nearby party members use Normal Attacks on enemies. It's possible to use her in a team without other Natlan characters, but it might be awkward due to needing to Normal Attack on the Supports. |

|---|
Mavuika's application is just enough to enable Mualani to perform her full damage combo without having to worry about whether or not the Pyro will overtake Mualani's Hydro, since she applies Hydro extremely slowly anyway.
Note that the team variation above results in the highest possible damage potential for Mualani at a base level with Mona having the Celestial Gift set equipped while having Sucrose, who is also a Hexerei character, enable the Hexerei: Secret Rite Resonance. This not only activates Mona's Hex passive (which increases Vaporize DMG), but also lets her give the full DMG% buff from Celestial Gift.
If you find yourself dying too much with this setup due to the lack of a sustain or defensive character, you can replace Sucrose with Xilonen.
Rotation of Vaporize Support Mavuika Team (Mualani)

| 7 | Repeat from Step 1. |
Mualani can cast her Burst at the end of her turn, but most of the buffs would have expired by then.

Mualani | Ayato Neuvillette | - Other Hydro DPSes will not be as effective as Mualani in this setup unless you replace one support on the team with a Dendro character to apply Burning enemies, this can allow them to trigger Vaporize off of. - Even then, the DPS potential of other Hydro DPSes in a Vaporize team will feel lacking in comparison since Mualani is designed to be the dedicated Vaporize DPS. |
Mona | Yelan Nahida Emilie | - Mona is the only other real Hydro Support that you can pair with Mualani where she isn't just there to activate Hydro Resonance. Yelan is a close alternative, but only because she has a DMG% buff on her Burst. - Apart from a Hydro character, you can instead add a Dendro character to apply Burning on enemies, which is good in multi-target content since Burning spreads Pyro across enemies. |
Sucrose | Xilonen Kazuha Zhongli Iansan Bennett | - Sucrose enables the Hexerei: Secret Rite Resonance, which increases Mona's buffing utility as a Vaporize Support, but slotting her in results in the team lacking a healer. - At the cost of damage, you can instead use Xilonen in this slot, who can provide both healing and RES Shred. She will be the best overall substitute, but you can still consider other RES Shredders, healers, or, if you're splitting the field time between Mavuika and Mualani, ATK% buffers like Iansan and Bennett (though they won't do anything for Mualani). |

Mavuika is a decent Pyro applicator in Kinich's teams and is the best alternative to Durin thanks to her still providing some form of utility via her DMG% on Burst.
Nicole gets a lot of mileage since Kinich appreciates both her ATK% buff and her shield due to his playstyle. However, because there won't be any other Hexerei character on the team, she won't be able to fully activate the 4-piece buff from the Celestial Gift set. This, apart from other reasons, makes it so that this Kinich team variation has lower damage potential than his premium one with Durin.
Rotation of Burning Support Mavuika Team (Kinich)
| No. | Procedure |

| 1 | Start the rotation with Kinich's Burst if it's available. |
| 1 | Deploy Nicole's Skill. If Kinich's Burst isn't up at the start of the rotation, start it with Nicole's Skill instead. |
| 2 | Swap to Iansan, use her Skill, Normal Attack (x1), then Burst. |
| 3 | Swap to Mavuika. Use her Burst, then Skill. |
| 4 | Swap to Kinich to do his optimal damage combo. You can briefly hold, aim, then let his Skill go as a means of cancelling the animation, which can result in more Canon shots overall. └ One ideal Kinich combo is: Skill → [ Normal Attack (x2) → Skill (brief hold then let go immediately)] x5 → Burst |
| 5 | Repeat from step 1 after you're done with Kinich's combo. |

Kinich | Klee Arlecchino | - Kinich is the only true Dendro On-Field DPS that actively wants Burning to happen, so replacing him with another Dendro character isn't really going to produce good results. - So long as there is another Dendro character on the team, Klee and Arlecchino can be playable substitutes since their mechanics allow them to perform well even when placed in a Burning team. - Klee can activate Nicole's Hexerei passive and let her equip Celestial Gift. |
Iansan | Emilie Nahida | - Even with Nicole's own buff, Iansan still has a place on the team thanks to her ability to equip the Cinder City set and grant even more ATK increases, but you can still replace her with Emilie who also benefits from every buff and reaction happening in Kinich's teams. - Other Dendro characters can be an option as well, especially if your On-Field DPS is a Pyro character instead of Kinich. They should be equipping Deepwood Memories. |
Nicole | Bennett Iansan | - Nicole allows the Kinich-Emilie Burning team perform close to its peak potential at a baseline, and the ease-of-play value that Nicole's shield grants to Kinich also cannot be understated. - The best substitutes for Nicole in terms of damage are ATK buffers like Iansan or Bennett, with Bennett having a stronger advantage as a true healer-type character, unlike Iansan, whose heals are very minimal in comparison. |

Mavuika's Pyro application should be just enough to generate stacks for Lohen in this Melt team variant, where Lohen is instead triggering Melt off of his own Cryo hits thanks to Emilie's Dendro hits sustaining the Burning reaction on enemies.

Lohen | Wriothesley Ganyu | - There are very few Cryo On-Field DPSes that can work in a Melt team like this, but Lohen isn't necessarily the best option, and you'll find that Wriothesley and Ganyu should produce decent damage results still. |
Emilie | Nahida Lauma Yaoyao | - Emilie is the best Off-Field Dendro Sub-DPS for teams that require Burning to function, since she has the ability to reduce the self-damage inflicted by Burning. - You can still make do with other Dendro options, however, though Emilie is preferred since Lohen might want teammates that can deal competent damage as a Sub-DPS for his Will to Win stacks. - Other Cryo DPSes should have no problem replacing Emilie, apart from the potential to take too much damage from Burning. |
Nicole | Bennett Xilonen Zhongli Thoma (C6) | - Nicole provides an ATK% buff and enables Lohen's Hexerei: Secret Rite passive. But other generic ATK% buffers, RES Shredders, or sustain options can be placed in this slot. The same is true if you replaced Lohen with other Cryo DPSes. |
