Best Teams for Nefer
Nefer Works Best In Lunar-Bloom Teams
| Rating | Team Description |
|---|---|
| ▼ Premium Lunar-Bloom Team | ★★★★★ - With Lauma shredding Dendro and Hydro, Lunar-Bloom can deal more damage with Nefer as the On-Fielder. - Sucrose provides an EM buff and equips the Instructor set to increase the amount of EM she shares. - Columbina is the sole source of Hydro, but also contributes more Lunar Reaction DMG% buffs and her personal DPS. |
| ▼ F2P Lunar-Bloom Team | ★★★・・ - Even without Lauma, Lunar-Bloom can still be used as F2P since Nefer also enables the reaction. - Since Aino is free, she can be used to activate Ascendant Gleam. - F2P characters for Dendro and Hydro scale on EM and HP, allowing them to buff the Lunar Reactions. |
| ▼ Hyperbloom Team | ★・・・・ - A team choice if you have no Lauma or Columbina. Nefer instead acts as a driver for the Hyperbloom reaction. - Will often result in you not pairing her with any other Nod-Krai character to deactivate her passive that turns Dendro Cores into Seeds of Deceit, which goes against her intended design as a DPS. |
Nefer is a Hypercarry DPS that utilizes Lunar-Bloom to deal powerful Special Charged Attacks. While she can deal powerful Dendro attacks, it relies on Lunar-Bloom to trigger, meaning she cannot be used as an Aggravate DPS, but she can be used in a Hyperbloom team.
Moonsign Ascendant is Important for Nefer's Lunar-Bloom Teams

Moonsign is a new mechanic introduced in Nod-Krai. Each Nod-Krai character increases it by 1 level, and at the 2nd level, various buffs for Lunar Reactions are activated. Ascendant Gleam allows Nefer to convert Dendro Cores/Bountiful Cores into Seeds of Deceit that she can use to buff her EM and her Elemental Burst.

Team Composition & Equipment
| Character | Weapon Artifacts & Stats |
|---|---|
![]() Nefer | Reliquary Of Truth Night Of The Sky's Unveiling x4Main EM / EM / CRIT Rate or DMG Sub 1. CRIT Rate or DMG 2. Elemental Mastery |
![]() Lauma | Nightweaver's Looking Glass Deepwood Memories x4└ Use 2 pieces each from a set that gives Elemental Mastery like Wanderer's Troupe and Gilded Dreams if the fourth teammate can't use Instructor. Main EM / EM / EM Sub 1. Energy Recharge 2. Elemental Mastery |
![]() Columbina | Nocturne's Curtain Call└ Prototype Amber can be an option if you're struggling to stay alive. Silken Moon's Serenade x4Main Energy Recharge or HP% / HP% / CRIT Rate or DMG Sub 1. Energy Recharge 2. CRIT Rate or DMG 3. HP% |
![]() Sucrose | Sacrificial Fragments Instructor x4Main EM / EM / EM Sub 1. Elemental Mastery 2. Energy Recharge |
For the highest DPS potential, the fourth teammate in Nefer's premium team should be a utility or buffing-type Support that provides a teamwide Elemental Mastery buff, but an active character-only EM buff is also viable.
Since Sucrose or Nahida is often the best choice, you might not have a proper healer without Lauma at C1 if you want your Nefer team to reach the best possible results.
Rotation Of Premium Lunar-Bloom Team
| No. | Procedure |
|---|---|
| 1 | Start with Lauma. Use her Burst, then Skill (hold). └ If this is the very first rotation, you can use Lauma's tap Skill. |
| 2 | Switch to Columbina. Use her Skill, followed by her Burst. |
| 3 | Swap to Sucrose, then use her Skill or Normal Attack (x1) into Burst. |
| 4 | Switch to Nefer to execute her Charged Attack combos. └ Her ideal combo will be: Skill -> [ Charged Attack -> Dash ] (x3) -> Skill -> [ Charged Attack -> Dash ] (x2) -> Charged Attack -> Burst or swap to Columbina to do Charged Attack (x1) |
| 5 | Swap back into Sucrose. Use her Skill. |
| 6 | Repeat from Step 1. |

| Character | Sub | Details |
|---|---|---|
Sucrose | Nahida Nilou (C2) Shinobu Ineffa | - Ideally you'll want to a non-Nod Krai character to complete the Lauma, Nefer and Columbina team in order to activate the additional Ascedant Gleam buffs. - Sucrose is the best choice since she provides an Elemental Mastery buff when either her Skill or Burst hits an enemy, and because she usually builds a lot of EM, her Ascendant Gleam buff will be substantial. - Nahida is also a decent alternative, but she prefers to have the Deepwood set instead. - Shinobu and Ineffa are the more defensive-oriented options if you're finding trouble keeping Nefer alive. - Nilou's C2 provides additional Dendro RES shred. |
Columbina | Aino (C6) Xingqiu Yelan | - Columbina's Hydro application and relevant Lunar Reaction buffs make her the ideal Hydro support for the Lauma-Nefer Lunar-Bloom core. - Aino is the next best option, especially at C6 where she has a Lunar Reaction DMG% buff. Just note that her application's rate and AoE might not be enough to keep up with Nefer's optimized combo, which can consume Verdant Dew stacks too quickly. - Other options are a significant downgrade and only serve to apply Hydro for Verdant Dew stacks most of the time. |
Lauma | Columbina Aino (C6) Ineffa | - Lauma is Nefer's best pairing due to all the buffs she provides that Nefer can easily take full advantage of. Without her, Nefer's DPS sees a significant decrease. - The best way to replace Lauma if you don't have her is with another Nod-Krai character. Columbina and Aino take on the role of Hydro applicator, while Ineffa can provide a shield, some EM buffs, and trigger a few Lunar-Charged hits now and then. |
| Nefer reaches her highest DPS potential with Lauma, since Nefer makes the best use of Lauma's Dendro RES shred, Lunar-Bloom damage buff, and additional Lunar-Bloom CRIT increases. As a result, Nefer's damage with Lauma (and Columbina) allows her team to be one of the top-performing teams in the current meta. |
| Without Lauma, Nefer's damage output is noticeably worse and isn't to the standard of the current meta. |
Note! | No Lauma? Options to Consider: - Pull for Lauma on her rerun since she's still her best teammate overall. If you aren't in a rush to get Nefer, it may be better to prioritize securing Lauma for her first. - Obtain Nefer's Signature Weapon or C1, since it can provide a DPS increase that can slightly compensate for Lauma's absence (but just barely). Columbina or Aino are still required even with her Signature Weapon or C1. - Use Columbina or Aino (ideally C6) as your Off-Field Hydro source, since you need to activate Ascendant Gleam for Nefer to get her Seeds of Deceit. - Use Ineffa with Nefer if you have both. Not as optimal, but lets you activate Ascendant Gleam. - Wait for future characters that might have synergy with Nefer. |
|---|
| Nefer can still output decent results without her, but Nefer needs Columbina to realize her full potential as a top meta DPS. Columbina contributes relevant Lunar Reaction buffs, consistent Hydro application with no range limit, and her personal damage, which all help raise the ceiling of Nefer's team. |
| While Nefer, especially with vertical investment into her Constellations or Signature Weapon, can make do with Aino as an alternative fairly well, Columbina completes Nefer's Lunar-Bloom team and is an essential part to reaching the highest damage potential for said comp. |
| Assuming Free-to-Play standards, Nefer without Lauma and Columbina performs around the same level as older DPSes, such as Arlecchino or Clorinde without using newer Supports like Durin or Ineffa. But her being worth your pulls when your account is missing one or both of her best supports will still depend on your account state and personal in-game goals. |
| - You really like Nefer as a character and enjoy her playstyle. - You aren't stressed about meta or clearing Stygian Onslaught at Difficulty 5 and 6. - You're missing a Dendro DPS and/or already have at least one or two other strong, SS or S tier team(s) for endgame content. - You plan to eventually get Lauma and/or Columbina, or want to vertically invest in her Constellations and Signature Weapon to compensate for their absences. - You have either Lauma OR Columbina, and not missing both. Having at least one of them in a Nefer team should still let you clear most endgame modes, apart from Stygian Onslaught at Difficulty 5 or 6. |
Note! | Stygian Onslaught Difficulty 4 (Menacing) and 5 (Fearless) should be manageable even if you only have Lauma or Columbina in a Nefer team, but results may still vary depending on your character builds, rotation mastery and whether or not Nefer is good against the featured bosses. |
|---|
| - You already have one or two different Lunar Reaction DPS like Flins and/or Zibai. As a rule of thumb, having two Lunar DPSes should be enough for endgame content. - You want to clear Stygian Onslaught Difficulty 5 and 6 consistently. - You don't enjoy her gameplay and/or aren't willing to learn how to get used to it. - You do have Lauma and Columbina, but you strongly want to pull for other characters. Enjoying the game is more important, and Columbina herself can work as a Lunar-Bloom DPS due to her special Charged Attack. |
F2P Lunar-Bloom Team
Team Composition & Equipment
| Character | Weapon Artifacts & Stats |

![]() Nefer | Blackmarrow Lantern Night Of The Sky's Unveiling x4Main EM / EM / CRIT Rate or DMG Sub 1. CRIT Rate or DMG 2. Elemental Mastery |
![]() Dendro Traveler | Favonius Sword Deepwood Memories x4Main Energy Recharge or EM / EM / CRIT Rate or DMG Sub 1. CRIT Rate or DMG 2. Energy Recharge 3. Elemental Mastery |

![]() Aino | Favonius Greatsword Silken Moon's Serenade x4Main EM / EM / CRIT Rate or DMG Sub 1. CRIT Rate or DMG 2. Energy Recharge 3. Elemental Mastery |
Barbara can be built on a pure HP build for healing since the Ascendant effect allows non-Moonsign characters to buff Lunar Reactions. Hydro characters can buff it with their HP.
Rotation Of F2P Lunar-Bloom Team
| No. | Procedure |
|---|---|
| 1 | Start with Aino. Use her Burst. |
| 2 | Switch to Dendro Traveler and use their Skill, then Burst. |
| 3 | Switch to Barbara and use her Skill. Make sure she triggers a Bloom reaction for the Instructor effect. |
| 4 | Swap back into Aino to use her Skill. |
| 5 | Switch to Nefer to execute her Charged Attack combos. └ Her ideal combo will be: Skill -> [ Charged Attack -> Dash ] (x3) -> Skill -> [ Charged Attack -> Dash ] (x2) -> Charged Attack -> Burst or swap to Columbina to do Charged Attack (x1) |
| 6 | Repeat from step 1 after you're done with Nefer's combo. |
Substitute Characters

|---|---|---|
Dendro Traveler | Nahida Collei | - Nahida supplies a decent amount of EM with her Burst. - Collei is an okay alternative to Dendro Traveler but will need C4 for her EM buff. |
Barbara | Kokomi Xingqiu Yelan Shinobu | - You can use Kokomi in place of Barbara if you happen to have her, which is an upgrade overall. It's best to pair her with another Hydro teammate for consistent application. - Alternatively, you can slot in Shinobu for sustain. - Yelan and Xingqiu require Nefer to weave in Normal Attacks ever so often, which takes more time to execute than her usual combo. |
Aino | Columbina Ineffa | - Aino is needed for the Ascendant Gleam effect and allow Nefer to create Seeds of Deceit, She shouldn't be replaced if you have no Lauma. - If you do have either Columbina or Ineffa, they can activate the Ascendant Gleam Moonsign Level, though you might need a better Hydro source than Barbara in multi-target content if you're slotting in Ineffa. |

![]() Furina | Splendor Of Tranquil Waters└ If you're having trouble charging Furina's Burst every rotation, you can try equipping Fleuve Cendre Ferryman, Favonius Sword or Festering Desire instead. Golden Troupe x4Main HP% / Hydro DMG Bonus / CRIT Rate or DMG Sub 1. CRIT Rate or DMG 2. Energy Recharge 3. HP% |
![]() Shinobu | Xiphos' Moonlight Flower Of Paradise Lost x4Main EM / EM / EM Sub 1. Elemental Mastery |
A Hyperbloom team with Nefer can be an option if you don't have Lauma. In this team, Nefer doesn't have a 2nd Moonsign partner, so any Dendro Cores generated won't be converted into Seeds of Deceit. Seeds cannot be turned into Hyperblooms through Electro, so in a proper Hyperbloom team, Nefer is simply going to fulfill the role of a driver. Furina is preferred instead of Aino for this reason.
This team doesn't make full usage of Nefer's abilities, and the damage is limited to the current potential of Hyperbloom as a reaction, which is on the lower end of the current meta In this case, Nefer can still equip a combination of 2-piece Elemental Mastery sets to at least have her Skill and Burst contribute some DPS, though overall it won't be nearly as good as her Lunar-Bloom teams.
Rotation Of Hyperbloom Team

Substitute Characters

|---|---|---|
Nahida | Baizhu Dendro Traveler Collei Yaoyao | - Baizhu is the preferred replacement to Nahida since he is able to buff Hyperbloom. - Dendro Traveler and Collei can be used as an alternative for Dendro Sub-DPS. - Yaoyao can be used if you want more healing if Shinobu's healing isn't enough to offset Furina's HP drain. |
Furina | Yelan Xingqiu Kokomi | - Kokomi can use Sacrificial Fragments to refresh her Elemental Skill for Off-Field Hydro Application. - Yelan and Xingqiu require Nefer to weave in Normal Attacks between Charged Attack usages, which can be a little more time-consuming. |
Kuki Shinobu | Raiden Shogun | - Raiden Shogun can be used as Hyperbloom Sub-DPS and hold an EM polearm for more Hyperbloom damage. |
