How To Unlock Tavern Challenge: Maguu Kenki
Friendly Fracas At TCG Player Level 7
Maguu Kenki's Rest is the fifth Tavern Challenge available and Friendly Fracas can be unlocked when you reach TCG player level 7.
Friendly Fracas Opponent's Character Card
For Friendly Fracas, the opponent uses Maguu Kenki with 20 HP and equipped with Transcendent Automaton plus two Nobushi: Kikouban with 6 HP each.
Serious Showdown At TCG Player Level 7
Same as Friendly Fracas, you can unlock Maguu Kenki's Denouement when you reach TCG player level 7 but you must complete all of the ▼objectives of Friendly Fracas first.
Serious Showdown Opponent's Character Card
It is similar to Friendly Fracas but the only difference is that Maguu Kenki in this mode has 28 HP plus two Nobushi: Hitsukeban.
Defeat NPC Challengers For Leveling Up
To gain player EXP and level, you need to defeat NPC challengers and complete the weekly guest challenge.

How To Beat Maguu Kenki (Tavern Challenge)
Likely To Use Burst
Once Maguu Kenki has acquired 3 energies, it is likely to use Burst which deals 4 Anemo DMG and swirls any element status your active character has. As much as possible, avoid using a character that can apply you with an element since it can be swirled and this damage affects all of your characters.
Active When The Round Ends
The effect of Transcendent Automaton enables Maguu Kenki to be switched in by the end of the round.
Restoring HP Is Great
You can avoid getting defeated if you can utilize a healer in your deck. The right timing and accurate calculation are crucial for its effectiveness.

While Barbara is a great healer, her Skill effect can apply Hydro status which can be swirled so it must be considered when to use it.
Healer Tips For Jean
On the other hand, Jean can heal & deal damage simultaneously and gain a buff for increased damage. While her Skill can forcibly switch Maguu Kenki out, the other 2 characters can inflict you with Pyro that can be swirled so be careful.
Healing Cards Are Also Useful
If you ever need immediate healing, there are cards that can restore HP. For instance, Elemental Resonance: Soothing Water Card can heal all of your characters but it can only be used if you have 2 Hydro characters in your deck.
Freeze Is Not Effective
Maguu Kenki is immune to any crowd control element so using Freeze comp is useless.
Trigger Other Elemental Reactions
It is recommended to use a lineup that can trigger elemental reactions other than Freeze. The reactions are great for dealing additional damage which can significantly decrease the HP of Maguu Kenki.
TCG Elemental Reactions & EffectsRemove The Summons
The Send Off Card is great for removing a summon. It is recommended to remove the Anemo summon first over Cryo summon to avoid getting swirled.
Guardian's Oath Card Can Backfire
Guardian's Oath Card removes all active summons including yours. It also costs 4 dice of the same type which is costly so it is recommended to use Send Off Card over Guardian's Oath Card.

Active Deck Is In Use
Set your active deck in the Casket of Tomes before you start the Tavern Challenge. The active deck is marked by a blue flag with 2 swords symbol.
Best Decks For TCGConcede To Reroll Cards
If you do not like the 5 initial cards that you get after the initial reroll, you can concede the match and restart. You can repeat this until you get the cards of preference since the 5 initial cards, even the rerolled ones, are all random.
Elemental Tuning Can Be Used
In case you do not have useful elemental dice and you ran out of chance to reroll, you can sacrifice an action card to replace it with an elemental die that matches the active card.
The Bestest Travel Companion! Card
This card is universal and can transform 2 different elemental dice into 2 Omni dice. It is recommended since it is a better version of elemental tuning.
