What Is & How To Get An Echo?
A Cosmetic For Characters’s Running Animation
Echo in Genshin Impact refers to the additional effect that will come out on the back of the characters as they walk or run.
Does Not Have Special Effect Battle Wise
Echoes does not provide benefits at battle and is mainly there for additional aesthetics for the characters.
How To Get An Echo?
Obtain Keys From Imaginarium Theater
During and after version 4.8, there will be a canvas that will appear right beside Wolfy that will give you access to Envisaged Echoes you can use special keys called "Keys Of Echoes" to unlock challenges that will give characters Echoes.

Other than using 2 Keys from Imaginarium Theater, you also need to reach specific conditions to be able to do the challenge Envisaged Echoes.
Conditions
- Reach Friendship Lvl. 8 for the character that uses Echo.
- Reach Lvl. 90 for the character that uses Echo.
How To Equip Echoes?
Equip Echo From Character Menu → Dressing Room
You can equip Echoes by selecting the character that uses the skin and choosing the "Dressing Room". There is a section for Echoes where you can choose the Echoes to use.
