To be able to explore the islands, you must first unlock Midsummer Islands. To unlock the islands, you must accomplish the following quest and be at least be at Adventure Rank 21.
- Archon Quest: Song of The Dragon and Freedom

1. Collect Echoing Conches
Collect these unique conches which contains voices from the past and hidden stories. Players can claim other rewards if they have collected a certain amount of conches.
2. Might Use A Waverider
To gather the Echoing Conches needed, players will need to explore the islands & archipelago with their Waverider Ship. This is a new vehicle that will be the main means of transportation in the event.

The main reward for the Echoing Tale is the free Barbara's Summertime Sparkle skin. Players can get this skin for free if they can complete this event, which otherwise would cost money to purchase in the shop.
