A Study In Potions is an event that involves alchemy, related to Timeus from Mondstadt. This event is included in the 2.4 Game Update, it was released on January 7, 2022.

How To Unlock
You must complete the world quest Elixirs and Potions in order to unlock the corresponding trials of the A Study in Potion event.

A Study In Potions Trial Stages
This event is divided into three (3) trial rounds. Each trial will open every two days. Each trial challenge is consists of four-floor stages.

Choose A Trial Character
On each trial, you will be provided with four trial characters. You can also re-arrange the trial characters with you own characters.
Combat Difficulty
Before starting each floor, you will be able to choose a combat difficulty. The two difficulties you can choose are Accurate Sample and Strong Control Group.

| Strong Control Group | Harder difficulty but will give you a 2.5 score multiplier. |
Equip Smoldersleet Potions
You can equip up to three (3) potions called Smoldersleet Potions that will provide different buffs towards your party.

Tips & Tricks
Prioritize Hardest Floor
You can choose which stage to start on first for each trial. After completing one stage, the next stage will be more difficult so try to complete the stage with the hardest enemies first.
Check The Enemies Before Selecting A Team
Every stage has specific elements that would be more advantageous to use. Make sure that the team you will use suits the potion and the enemies that you will be facing.
Raise Difficulty To Increase Score
You'll only want to increase the difficulty if you want to attain more points. You can still get Gold Medals with the Accurate Sample difficulty.
Characters Cannot Be Used Consecutively
Characters will be on standby after you use them for one stage. Be sure to have a second team prepared or use the trial characters provided for in the trial.
Use Potions Strategically
▲ Potions can only be used once per stage unless you reset the trial.
You'll want to pick the best potions that gives the most benefit to your team. Try to save the yellow potions for future stages since the difficulty increases and can be helpful in clearing those stages.
Save Records
You are given the option to save your record or not. You can omit to save if you your score is low or if you want to fix something in your team or potion loadout.
Reset Trial
Resetting the trial will reset all progress, scores, potions, standby characters. This is useful if you want to refresh your attempts, consumed potions, and team composition.

You will obtain three (3) different medals that will be based on your trial scores. Accumulated medals can be exchanged for corresponding awards on the event page!
