Mualani uses materials from Natlan for her ascension materials, and she also uses a material from Fontaine Region for her talent ascension (boss drop) material. Some materials can only be obtained by heading to the area to unlock domains and boss fights.

Defeat Natlan Warriors Around Natlan

Natlan Region

Each faction in Natlan has its respective tribe warriors, and you can spot them around the region. You can only collect the Sentry's Wooden Whistle, Warrior's Metal Whistle, and Saurian-Crowned Warrior's Golden Whistle after defeating these warriors that are exclusively available inside Natlan. You can track them using Paimon Menu > Adventurer's Handbook but not all locations will be revealed.

Talent Domain Location & How to Unlock?

Get Mualani's Talent Books From Blazing Ruins Domain

You can get the Contention Talent Books from the Blazing Ruins Domain at the Tepeacac Rise in Natlan Region. After completing the domain challenge you will be required to spend your Resin to collect the materials. For Mualani, only 2 Talents directly connects to her damage, Skill and Burst. So focus on increasing those Talents and save materials.

The Goldflame Qucusaur Tyrant Is Located Underground

The Goldflame Qucusaur Tyrant can be found in Natlan region, in the underground area of Huitztli Hill. Defeating the Goldflame Qucusaur Tyrant and collecting its material will cost you 40 Original Resin.

Weekly Boss Guide

Located At The Salacia Plain (Fontaine Underwater)

The All-Devouring Narwhal is located at the Salacia Plain in the underwater region of Fontaine. Completing the challenge in this domain will cost you 30 Original Resin. To unlock this area, you need to progress on Fontaine Story Quest or battle the boss via Adventurer's Handbook.

How Many Days / Resin Needed?

Expect Around 2500 Resin Or More

Since the drop of materials in Genshin Impact has a random factor, farming for all of Mualani's ascension and talent materials will cost you around 2,500 Original Resin at World Level 9. This is around 2-3 (14~21 Days) weeks of resin generation. The number of days also differs whether or not you want to level all talents or not.

More Resin Cost For Artifacts

Farming for Artifacts, especially good ones, will also add to the resin cost of building a character. Artifacts are heavily based on luck and cannot be measured.

Around 18 Weeks To Fully Upgrade Talents

Talent Ascension requires the use of a Weekly Boss material. Presuming you can get one per try per week, you will need 18 weeks to fully upgrade a character to 10/10/10 talents. You can shorten this by converting unneeded Weekly Boss Materials.
