Lightkeepers Overview
The Lightkeepers Originated From Snezhnaya
The Lightkeepers are an ancient organization along the borderlands of Nod-Krai, its members sworn to defend against the Abyssal Calamity known as the Wild Hunt. Their origins are deeply rooted in Snezhnaya and to the Cryo Archon, due to an oath they'd sworn long ago, where they would stand guard in their Lighthouse as Nod-Krai's watchers against the Abyss.
Related To The Frostmoon Scions and the Wild Hunt
The Lightkeepers was founded by the first Torchforger, who, as it was said in the artifact set story of Long Night's Oath, was given aid by the Moonchildren's Priestess of the Frostmoon Scions when they first drove the Abyss away in Nod-Krai.
Because Nod-Krai was one of the first places to fall to the Abyss, its influence there is very high, which had eventually birthed the Wild Hunt, which is a gathering of Abyssal forces that ruthlessly destroy everything in their path. The Lightkeepers are the main entity fighting against the Wild Hunt.

Since this is a newly introduced character group, there are no named members. The Behind the Scenes Livestream that went live last April 30, 2025 did not show characters that are affiliated with the Lightkeepers, but it is likely we will see teasers of other related Nod-Krai characters within the next few months. In the lore provided by the Long Night's Oath artifact set, the Torchforger is the known founder of the Lightkeepers. But prior to establishing it, he was once a spy that was elevated to gentry by the Winter Tsar, the first Cryo Archon. Among the Ratniki, which is likely a form of title given to the members the Lightkeepers, the descendants of those who fought alongside the Torchforger in their attempt to repel the black tide are said to wear dark, tasseled helmets and wield polearms. These Ratniki believe that the Torchforger is still watching over them.
The Undying One
In the artifact lore provided with Long Night's Oath, it implies that after the first Wild Hunt ravaged the borderlands, a survivor of the event is said to remain alone in the abyss with a dark blade and a bell, whose one desire is to uphold his oath to the land he swore to protect. It is unclear if this undying figure was part of the group of Lightkeepers that first fell to the Wild Hunt.
