Cyno Character Buff Release Date
Buff Release Date: July 1, 2026
Following the recent Hex-based buffs for Mondstadt, the character buff program broadens its scope to include a diverse roster of characters from across all nations in the upcoming July 1, 2026 Version 6.6 update. We will provide full details as soon as the next phase is officially released.
Cyno Buff Details
Elemental Skill allows him to Enter Burst State
Cyno’s upcoming buff allows him to enter the Pactsworn Pathclearer state upon using his Elemental Skill. This makes Cyno less Elemental Burst reliant.
Deals Direct Stellar-Conduct Damage when inside Polestar Field
Additionally, when inside a Polestar Field created by triggering Stellar Conduct, he enters the Radiance: Stellar-Conduct state, which causes his Duststalker Bolts to deal Stellar-Conduct DMG and grants him associated bonuses upon triggering the Judication Effect.

Notes About Cyno's Buffs
Cyno Does Not Unlock Stellar-Conduct Reaction
While Cyno can deal Stellar-Conduct DMG by using his abilities within the Polestar field, unlike Sandrone, his presence does not unlock the Stellar-Conduct reaction. To take advantage of the character buffs given to Cyno, you'll need a character that unlocks the reaction, such as Sandrone.
Recommendation: Wait for an Off-Field Enabler
Since both Sandrone and Cyno are on-field DPS characters, they do not have good synergy in a team. It is recommended to wait for an off-field Stellar-Conduct enabler if you want to build Cyno for Stellar-Conduct reactions.
How to Unlock Cyno's Buffs
Talk to Barbeloth
After visiting Barbeloth in Fontaine, Cyno will have his destiny revealed through the Lunar Arcana and will receive a powerful Hex-based upgrade. This is similar to the Witch's Homework feature for Mondstadt characters.
