The Ascended Sample: Knight is one of the drops a player can receive from defeating the Weekly Boss, The Game Before The Gate. However, you can only receive rewards from this boss once a week.
The Game Before The Gate can be fought by entering the Unresolved Chess Game domain. Unlock the domain by completing the Archon Quest Interlude Chapter Act IV.
