Animal Crossing's 1.10 update will include a slightly updated version of the Wedding Season Event. You can expect to see a few more items and pieces of clothing this time around. Check out the article below for details.

What Is The Wedding Season Event?

Cyrus & Reese will be celebrating their Wedding Anniversary and are planning to visit Harv's island to take Wedding Photos. The Wedding Season event is an event to help them take the best possible wedding photo. This event begins June 1st and lasts until June 30th.

Set Up A Photo For A Different Situation Every Day
Cyrus and Reese will ask you to commemorate their wedding anniversary by setting up a photo shoot for a particular theme. On the first day, they'll ask you to stage a wedding ceremony. It seems that the themes are fixed according to the day - every day has a specific theme!

As a reward for taking a photo everyday, you'll be given Heart Crystals. This is the main currency of this event. It seems that you're given more Crystals depending on the quality of your photo.
The More Furniture, The Better
In general, Reese prefers having more furniture! Throw minimalism out the window here - the more furniture you place, the more crystals you'll get!

Use Time Travel To Get More Items & Heart Crystals
By changing the time through the Nintendo Switch's settings, you can get Reese to give you reward items again. You can also collect more Heart Crystals as well. Even after June ends, you can get Heart Crystals by traveling back in time!
How To Time Travel
Using June 1st = Day 1 as a standard!!

By using the method above, you can do 2 photoshoots at once. Change the date to the next day every time to collect all reward items.

The Heart Crystals you get from this even can be used to purchase wedding-themed items! The items you get will increase as you do different styles of photo shoots for the couple. You'll need a total of 180 pieces to buy one of each furniture (subtracting the 6 free items you get the first week.)

The maximum amount of items you can buy from Cyrus with Heart Crystals per day is limited to 8! If you save up all your hearts and wait for the last day of June to buy, you might be out of luck, so buy your items ahead of time!
Why June?
So why exactly does the Wedding Season take place in June? In actuality, this event's name in Japanese is 'June Bride', and it's based off a long-standing European tradition of favoring the month of June to hold a wedding! Despite the tradition's European origins, it has caught on in Japan as well.

All themes for the wedding season event seem to be fixed. This means each day will have a specific theme. First, Ceremony and Reception will alternate, with new items being added each day. Then, on the 6th, a new theme will be unlocked. After day 7, the three themes of Chic, Garden, and Cute will rotate!
6th Day - Reception-Style Party
The 6th time you do the event, you'll make a reception but you'll also be asked to invite villagers to your island as well! Note that for this, you won't be required to take a photo, just set up as great a party as you can. As a reward, you'll get an Arch, Crystals, and a special Reese & Cyrus Photo Plate!
7th Day - Chic & Sophisticated
On the 7th day, you'll get a bit of a change of pace. You'll move locations and get a request for a "chic" style, with brown, beige, and black colors. You'll also get a recipe for a Wedding Wand from Cyrus. From this day on, it seems all wedding furniture becomes available to purchase from Cyrus!
From the 7th day, you'll gain access to the furniture color customization feature. Use this to match the colors that the bride wants for her shoot!

Photo Taking Tips
Using The Same Item Over And Over Works!

If your main goal is just to collect Heart Crystals, placing the same piece of furniture over and over is totally fine. The number of furniture pieces you placed determines how many crystals you get, so make sure to place a lot!
Place Furniture Symmetrically
When placing furniture, try to aim for a sense of symmetry in your designs. This will really improve the overall look of your photos!

You'll get more heart crystals the more furniture you place during photo shoots. You'll get from 5 to 11 heart crystals. After day 7, you can get 13 or 15 as well. Place as much furniture as you can to maximize the amount of hearts you get!

By helping Cyrus & Reese take a wonderful and memorable wedding photo, players will be given two main rewards: a piece of furniture and Heart Crystals. The piece of furniture may or may not be fixed depending on the theme of the day. The Heart Crystals you receive will very according to the quality of your photo.

For the first 6 days you do a photoshoot, you will receive one complimentary item reward in addition to Heart Crystals. These rewards are fixed! Note that all of these items will be purchasable from Cyrus later, except the Photo Plate!

Not all wedding items are tradable at the beginning. You have to do at least 7 photoshoots to unlock all Wedding Season exclusive items!
