What Is Scorpion Island?

What Is Scorpion Island

Scorpion island is a very rare island you will sometimes be able to land on when you go on Mystery Island Tours. Scorpions will spawn endlessly and you can earn up to 312,000 bells if you have 40 pocket storage by catching them all you want.

Scorpion Island Time Spawns At Night

You can only spawn Scorpion island when it's 7PM onwards in real time. This is the only time Scorpions spawn, even on your own island, so it also coincides with Mystery Island Tours.

Make Your Own Scorpion Island

Make Your Own Scorpion Island
No. Procedure
1 Bring axe & shovel to a Mystery Island Tour
*Make sure island spawns bugs
2 Eat all coconuts & break all rocks with shovel
3 Cut all trees & dig up their stumps
4 Pluck all flowers with Y button
5 Chase away other insect & wait for Scorpion to spawn

Make sure to remove all rocks, trees, and flowers on the island. Then chase away all other insects. Be aware that spawning insects will change depending on the month & season in your game.

Recent Update Lessens Spawns

Due to recent updates in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, rare inspect spawn rates have been lessened, making it less efficient and more time-consuming to make your own Scorpion island.

Random Chance With Mystery Island Tour

Mystery Tour

Head to the Airport and go on a Mystery Island Tour for a chance to land on Scorpion island. Chances are entirely random so you may have to go on many tours just to get to Scorpion island.

Requires Nook Miles Tickets

Mystery Tour

Mystery Island Tours will require you to give a Nook Miles Ticket to Orville. You can get these from the Nook Stop terminal for 2,000 Miles.

Scorpion Island Farming Tips & Guide

Keep Bag Empty Before Flying

Each Scorpion you catch can be sold for a massive 8,000 Bells, so you'll want to have as much free space as possible before going!

You Can't Come Back

This goes for all Mystery Island Tours, but once you leave the island, you cannot come back to Scorpion island! You cannot leave mid-way to sell items.

I don’t know if you brought me good luck or what, but I got 16 NMTs planning to go to a bunch of islands to find the scorpion island. After reading this, the first island I went to was scorpion island. Mind blown lol

yes i agree. along with the crickets and the dung beetles just spawning spontaneously

Making your own scorpion island doesn't seem to work anymore. Too many common spawns, including hermit crab taking spawn slots.
