How To Gather Cherry Blossom (Sakura) Petals

Cherry blossoms will only bloom during this period of time. We are still investigating exactly when the petals will all fall off.

Cherry Blossom Petals will appear in the early part of spring and can be found everywhere on the island near trees with Cherry Blossoms in them. These petals float & move around quite a lot, so they can be somewhat tricky to catch. They may also end up over rivers as well.
Catch Them With A Net
Cherry Blossom Petals are caught using a Net. The process is the same as catching bugs!
Petals Can Disappear
If you swing and miss with your net two times, the Cherry Blossom Petals you're trying to get will disappear. Additionally, if you wait too long, the petals will also disappear naturally. This can happen while you're waiting for them to move away from the river too, so be careful.
Don't Spawn From Pine Or Fruit Trees
Cherry Blossom Petals require a tree which has blooming Cherry Blossoms on it. This means that Pine Trees & fruit-bearing trees cannot generate petals.
