What Are Villager Pictures (Photos)?

Proof Of Your Friendship With A Villager

ティファニーのしゃしん

If your friendship level with a villager reaches its maximum, you'll be able to get a special villager photo! This photo will actually improve your rating with the Happy Home Academy as well, making it a rather special item.

Requires A Lot Of Time To Get

In order to get a villager photo, you'll need to put a lot of time into raising your friendship level! This will take many consecutive days of giving presents and talking to a villager, so be persistent!

Different From Posters

The Posters you get from taking pictures at the studio are a completely different item. However, the design itself is the same.

Talk To Them Every Day Without Fail

In order to become friends with villagers, it's key to keep talking to them every single day without missing a day. This is the most important point.

Give Them Items Regularly

Giving items as presents

▲"Let's talk!" / "Have this!" / "Later!"

After reaching a certain friendship level with a villager, you'll be able to give them a gift once per day. If you give them something really cheap, the villager might not get a reward in return, so we recommend something like Fruits instead.

Help Villagers Out

A Troubled Villager

When Villagers are troubled, you'll see a visible indicator in the form of a white cloud over their heads. Talk to them when this happens. They'll probably broach the topic of moving off of the island, but you'll be able to stop them from doing that, so don't worry!

Respond If They Call You

If a villager approaches you with an exclamation mark (!) over their head, it means they want to talk to you. Always respond to them, as this will improve your relationship!

I've had success gifting my villagers with spare fossils every day. It also helps to wrap your gifts to earn more friendship points.

One of my original villagers gave me her photo twice before moving.
