Katrina is known to be the fortune teller of the Animal Crossing series. She gives daily advice and is remembered for her interesting quotes.
Fortune Affected Gameplay
In previous games, the actual gameplay was affected depending on the fortune that Katrina gave. Some examples would be getting more bells due to a good fortune prediction and even getting unlucky & end up falling due to a bad fortune prediction. In Animal Crossing: New Leaf, there were certain items available that could cancel out the bad luck, so we may see something similar in New Horizons.
