Airport (Dodo Code) - How To Get
The Airport will be unlocked after the second day. Tom Nook will indicate this to you during his announcement. After the event, you'll be able to enjoy the full extent of the airport's services.

There Are Several Airport Colors
As far as we've been able to confirm in-game, there seem to be 4 available airport colors. Our team was able to get blue, yellow, orange, and green airports so far. If you've found any other colors, please share a screenshot in the comments!
Can Airport Color Be Changed?
Airport color seems to be fixed at the beginning of your game, and it cannot be changed afterwards. If you're particular about the color, it might be a good idea to restart the game a few times to get one to your liking!

It is possible that the questions which Timmy/Tommy ask you at the outset of the game have some sort of influence on the color of your airport. We have not been able to determine the precise relation yet.

Open 24 Hours
As far as we've been able to determine, the Airport is open 24 hours a day! There might be certain events later on in the game that make it temporarily unusable, but it should also be available 7 days a week!

Invite Players To Your Island
You can invite players to your island via Local, Internet or Wireless connection, making the Airport a crucial hub for multiplayer interactions.

A Nintendo Switch Online membership is required for the use of online features. Both you and your friends will need a membership for you to invite / visit, and vice versa.
Visit Other Players' Islands
The airport is also used to visit other people's Islands. You will need an internet connection and Nintendo Switch Online to so, or be in close proximity to the island owner's Switch for local connections.
Visit Islands With A Different Hemisphere
Visiting an island with a different hemisphere than yours will change the scenery as the seasons are different. Imagine going to the beach on one island, only to come back to your own and make a snowman!

Up to 8 people (including the island owner) can visit an island at once, which means you can hold lively parties! If more friends want to join, members on the island may have to leave first to make room for them.
Airport (Dodo) - Postal Message Service
Send Card Messages To Friends From Airport
The airport provides a Postal service that helps players send messages to other players. This is a convenient function to coordinate activities in-game even if players are offline.
Send Gifts To Friends
Players can customize their cards and send gifts to friends. This includes furniture, resources, and decorations that you can share with people on your friends list.
Some Card Themes Are Time-Limited
Some cards will be available only for a limited time! Check regularly to make sure you don't miss out on any cool cards.

By using Nook Miles Ticket, you can go on a Mystery Island Tour. On this tour, you'll be able to gather materials, find rare items, and meet new villagers to invite to your island!
