Can We Have Multiple Islands ?
Only One Island Between Accounts
Although you have different save files, all the accounts will be playing on the same base island. This means shared resources in the island and the very layout of the island will be the same.

Houses have a private storage that only the owners can access. This storage cannot be accessed by other accounts playing on the island.

If you want to go to another island, you can jump into a mystery island tour instead. It's a small deserted island that you can visit by spending 2,000 Nook Miles for a ticket!

If you want to create another villager for your island that you can control, you will need to create another profile in your Nintendo Switch first.
How To Create Another Profile

| 1 | Open the Settings in your Nintendo Switch |
| 2 | Select "Add User" in the Users tab |
| 3 | Choose whether to create a new one or import |
| 4 | Create the account |
Create A New Save By Opening ACNH
After creating the account, open Animal Crossing: New Horizons with that account. This will then create a new save file for that account.
Differences Between Accounts
Difference in Progression
There is a difference between the first and subsequent accounts upon starting the game. It's not that significant of a difference since you will still get the tasks of earning miles and creating tools.
Early Game Progression for 2nd Account

Receive The Resident Call App
Players with another account will get a Resident Call App to their Nook Phone. You can use this to send data between your residents on the island.
Some Recipes Will Automatically Be Revealed
If you finished the construction of the museum and other events, your other accounts will receive the recipes for the Pole Vault and the Ladder immediately.
