To grow black lilies, you need to crossbreed two red lily flowers. Purchase seeds from Nook's Cranny to plant them on your island.

Seeds Change Every Day

Nook's Cranny's seed catalog changes every day. If they don't have lily seeds for sale, you can ask a friend to bring some for you or go on a Mystery Island tour and grab lilies there.

2. Plant 2 Red Lily Seeds Diagonally

Plant 2 Red Lily Seeds Diagonally

To breed black lilies, you need to plant 2 red lily seeds diagonally, one space apart from each other. This will encourage cross-breeding to get black lilies!

Place BlackLilies Beside Each Other

Growing more black lilies will be easy once you've already grown 2 of them. Place both flowers beside each other, diagonally with one space apart, to encourage growth of more black lilies.

Black Lily Sells For 80 Bells

Black lilies can be sold for 80 Bells at Nook's Cranny. Selling flowers is not one of the most efficient ways of making Bells fast, so it's not recommended to sell them.

Our team was able to grow black lilies on their island in about 1 week. This allots for growth of red lily flowers from seeds then waiting for the black hybrids to bloom.

Hi, I've been watering my red lilies for some weeks now and didn't get black off them. However, a black one just spawned from pink and orange. This may be another combination. Sorry for the bad picture!
