10 Minutes Per Try

Using the above method, you can get through one round of the Pirate Gulliver event in just 10 minutes. If you really want to get all the Pirate-themed items, this is your best bet.

Regular Gulliver Also Spawns

Pirate Gulliver may have joined the ranks, but that doesn't mean old Gulliver is gone - he will still spawn regularly. In fact, we've noticed that regular Gulliver seems to spawn at a slightly higher rate. Pirate Gulliver is somewhat rarer, so consider yourself lucky if you find him.

Does Not Count Towards Helping Gulliver

By helping out Gulliver 30 times, you'll be able to receive the recipe for the Golden Shovel. However, Gullivarrr is a separate character so helping him out will not count towards that 30 goal for the Golden Shovel.

Gullivarrr Communicator - How to Find

Found At The Bottom Of The Sea

The Communicator for Pirate Gulliver isn't on the beach - it's located deep in the bottom of the sea. You'll need to dive to get it. Its spawn location is random, so you'll have to swim around the island until you find it.

Another important point is that you only need to find one communicator!

Small Shadow Size

CommunicatorCommunicatorSmallShadow: Small

Gullivarrr's Communicator has a small shadow and will have a maximum of 3 bubbles coming out of it. If you want to avoid other sea creatures, aim for shadows like this only!

Communicator Doesn't Move

One way to spot the Communicator is to see if the shadow in the water is moving. Even if you approach it, the communicator won't move at all, so make sure to watch out. Aim for shadows and bubbles that don't move!

Doesn't Spawn If Your Inventory Is Full!

The Communicator will simply not spawn if your inventory is full. It's easy to fill up your inventory while diving, so make sure to keep an eye on it and empty it regularly!

Cannot Be Found On Other Islands

Cannot Be Found In Other Islands

You won't be able to find the communicator when visiting other islands. If you want to help out Gullivarrr, you'll need to do it on your own island.

Get Rusted Parts The Next Day

Rusted Parts

↑ 6 Rusted Parts appeared in our recycle box the next day.

After helping out Gullivarrr, you'll find that Rusted Parts will be added to the recycle box in the Resident Services building. These are used for some DIY recipes, so make sure you don't forget them!

Communicators You Don't Return Become Rusted Parts

Rusted Parts

↑ Unreturned Communicators turn into 5 Rusted Parts!

If you pick up a Communicator but fail to return it to Gullivarrr and then let one day pass, it will transform into a Rusted Part. One Communicator will become five rusted parts!

The Wetsuit Is Required

The Wetsuit will be necessary in order to get the Communicator. This item is sold at Nook's Cranny for 3000 Bells. Make sure your game is updated to the latest version if you can't see this item!

Pirate Gulliver (Gullivarrr) - Rewards

Different Rewards

Pirate Gulliver and regular Gulliver will give you completely different rewards, so be careful!

Rewards Are Pirate-Related Items

The rewards you get from Pirate Gulliver, unsurprisingly, have to do with pirates! From cannons, to chests, to eyepatches, you can get it all!

Reward Arrives The Next Day

Gullivarrr will ship his reward and have it arrive on the day after you help him! Change the time or just wait patiently to get your item!

There Are Color Variations

Color Variations

There are some items in the Pirate Set which have several different color options available! However, the first time you collect this set you won't get any doubles, so it's not possible to get color variations immediately. After you get the full set, however, you'll start getting items from Gullivarrr randomly. These items can be different colors!

List Of Furniture

This list is a work in progress. Some of the item names here might be slightly off from their English equivalents - if you know the right name, let us know in the comments!!!

AC Series Lover 8

Gulliver and Captain Gullivarrr are 2 totally different characters so one encounter may be Gulliver the Sailor and the next encounter may be Captain Gullivarrr. Gulliver may not even know of the existence of Captain Gullivarrr and vice versa.

Anonymous 7

Only got one rusted part after doing him...

Mars Jenkar 6

Gulliver and Gullivarrr are separate encounters, so you might see the regular Gulliver one day, and later that week (or the next week) you'll encounter Gullivarrr. Thankfully Saharah, Kicks, and Leif are no longer weekly visitors, so you shouldn't have to wait more than a couple weeks.

I updated …. I can swim and get sea creatures, I have my swim suit everything is good
Except … Gulliver showed up today and he was regular … not a pirate?

To the Anon below me, the Pirate Dress also comes in different colors. :)
