Seeds Change Every Day

Nook's Cranny's seed catalog changes every day. If they don't have hyacinth seeds, you can ask a friend to bring some for you or go on a Mystery Island tour and grab hyacinths there.

2. Plant Flowers One Space Apart

Plant Flowers One Space Apart

The red and yellow hyacinths have to be planted one space apart and diagonally from each other to encourage cross-breeding and growth of orange hyacinths.

Plant 2 Orange Hyacinths Diagonally

You can grow more orange hyacinths on your island by planting two of the orange hybrids together. Make sure to place them diagonally from each other, with one space apart.

A Note On Breeding

Flower breeding is a lot more complicated than one might expect, as it seems that flowers have their own individual DNA, which only gets more complicated the more you breed them. There can also be various different ways of getting the same color flower. This means that there is indeed an element of chance involved in the process.

If you use our combinations before and don't get the result you want, try the following:

  • Remove the unwanted flower and try again
  • Buy new flowers with "fresh" DNA

Orange Hyacinth Sells For 80 Bells

You can sell orange hyacinths for 80 Bells at Nook's Cranny. Selling flowers is not one of the most efficient ways of making Bells fast, so it's not recommended to sell them.
