How To Get Cosmos

Purchase Seeds From Nook's Cranny

One of the main ways to get Cosmos is to purchase seeds from Nook's Cranny. They sell a variety of flower seeds as well as Cedar and Hardwood tree saplings!

Seeds Sold Are Random

Nook's Cranny's catalogue of flower seeds are random and change every day. Make sure to check daily to be able to purchase Cosmos seeds from the shop.

Take From Island Cliffs

Your island will have native Cosmos flowers growing on its cliffs but you need to have a ladder to access them so make sure to craft one first. If you don't have Cosmos on your island, ask a friend who does to help you get them.

Element of Chance Is Involved

Keep in mind that breeding flowers will also have an element of chance. This is because each flower has its own individual DNA, which gets mixed when breeding. This can cause unexpected results when breeding flowers.

Producing An Unexpected Flower Color

If you've used our guide and got a different result, you can try again by doing one of the following things listed below:

  • Remove the unwanted flower, and try breeding again
  • Buy new flowers with new DNA

I got pink cosmos buds from a plot of orange cosmos.

I got a red from a pink x pink.. Is that a hybrid red? Or a junk red?

You can actually get pink cosmos by breeding orange with another orange. Idk if rain does anything different then a watering can, but I didnt water them.

There are blue cosmos as well. You need white x white.
