By visiting a villager's house during October, you'll have a chance to get a Spooky Furniture DIY Recipe. If you spot villagers working on DIY in their houses, make sure you talk to them!
If You Already Have The Recipe, You Get A Pumpkin
If you've already learned the recipe that the villager tries to give you, you'll instead get a Pumpkin or Candy! You won't be able to get doubles of recipes!
Get From Balloons
During October, shooting down Balloons that float around your island could reward you with a Halloween themed DIY recipe. Make sure not to miss a single one during this month if you're missing some recipes!
Ballons Spawn At Multiples Of 5
Balloons will spawn when the time ends in a 0 or 5! This means that you'll want to check the coasts of your island whenever the time reaches a multiple of 5*, i.e. 12:00, 12:05, 12:10, 12:15, etc. Head to the side of the island the wind starts blowing from and wait for balloons there.
※ Note: It appears that balloons will spawn at either times ending in 0 OR times ending in 5, but not both!!!
Give Candies To Villagers On Halloween Night

Most Spooky DIY recipes can be acquired by giving candies to villagers on Halloween Night. Make sure you have enough candies to give away to get all recipes. Note that a villager might give you a piece of Spooky furniture instead of a DIY recipe for it.

To get the Spooky Wand and Spooky Carriage, you need to give a Lollipop to Jack 3 times. You can get Lollipops by giving candies to villagers on Halloween Night.

Rug, Wall, & Flooring Can't Be Bought
Note that the Rug, Wall, and Flooring items in this set cannot be purchased from Nook's Cranny. They must be obtained by trading Candy to villagers!
Halloween Event - How To Get Pumpkins
Grow Pumpkins & Use Them As Materials
Similar to flowers, Pumpkins are grown by first planting pumpkin starts in the ground. The more you water them, the more pumpkins you can harvest.

In order to craft all Spooky furniture, you'll need a total of 88 Orange Pumpkins. Make sure you water them when growing the pumpkins to get the best possible harvest.
