What To Do On Halloween

Give Jack Candy And Lollipops

In addition to giving Candy to villagers, you'll want to regularly give both Candy and Lollipops to Jack, who is wandering the island! Doing so will give you the following rewards:

List Of Jack Rewards

Lollipop1st: Spooky Carriage
2nd: Spooky Carriage Recipe
3rd: Spooky Wand Recipe
4th and on : Jack's Face
Candy1st: Jack's Robe
2nd: Jack's Face
3rd and on: Pumpkin

Rewards you get from Jack appear to be fixed! However, after the 4th Lollipop and the 3rd Candy, all rewards will be the same.

Get Candy From Residents Inside Houses

If you walk into a resident's house and talk to them while wearing a costume (Jack's Robe works), they will give you one piece of Candy! This will be useful for trying to farm as many Spooky items as possible. This process is repeatable!

Get A One-Time Gift Of 3 Candies

If you talk to a villager who is outside & while you have 0 candies, they will give you a one-time gift of 3 candies! This does not appear to be repeatable.

Get Candy By Wearing A Jack Costume

Jack Costume

Equip the Jack's Robe & Jack's Face items and then proceed to talk to a villager on your island. You will be rewarded with one piece of Candy! Note that you can only get one Candy per villager - leaving and entering a house won't reset this, as it's one-time only. You can get as many pieces of candy as you have villagers living on your island.

Give Candy To Residents

When you go up to a villager, you'll have two options: Trick or Treat. By giving them a piece of candy, you'll receive a piece of Spooky furniture. If you choose not to give them candy, you will get tricked instead.

Trick - Get Paint Smeared On Your Face

Opting for Trick will get you a handful of paint directly to the face. Luckily, the first villager to do this will also give you a recipe for a mirror. Using the mirror will allow you to remove the face paint and return your face to its usual appearance!

Get New Reactions

New Reactions

You will be able to get two new reactions from Villagers by talking to them on Halloween: Haunt and Scare! Walk up to villagers and Haunt them, or act scared when villagers decide to scare you!
