Learned When You Get A Gold Nugget
Although it's rare, you can get Gold Nuggets by beating away at Rocks on your island. When a Gold Nugget appears, simply pick it up and you'll unlock the King Tut Mask recipe!
Need To Pick Up A New Nugget
Simply having an existing Gold Nugget in your inventory will not do! You will need to get a Gold Nugget after updating your game to V. 1.4.0!

If you equip the mask of King Tut, you'll mysteriously start tripping when running. This mask did the same thing back in New Leaf as well, so it's likely that the curse of King Tut has persisted into New Horizons... Wear it at your own risk!
Listen For A Sound When You Put It On
When you put on King Tut's Mask, listen carefully, as you'll hear an eerie noise, different from when you equip regular items. That was the sound of you getting cursed!
