What's Save Data Transfer Feature

A Feature To Transfer Data Between 2 Devices

The Save Data Transfer is a new feature added in Winter Update available from November 19th. This feature allows you to move your save data to another Nintendo Switch system.

2 Types Of Data Transfer

Entire Island Transfer	All progress, customization, residents & resident representative, villagers on entire island will be transferred to other Nintendo Switch system
Resident Move (Single Player Transfer)	Transfers only one resident to a new Nintendo Switch system. The resident, resident's home, items held by the resident and resident's storage will be transferred to an island on the new Nintendo Switch system

There are two types of data transfer; transferring the entire island and transferring a single resident. If you wish to transfer the whole data to new Nintendo Switch, use Entire Island Transfer. If you wish to move just one resident to a new Nintendo Switch system, use Resident Move.
