How To Gather Acorns

Shake Trees & Pick Up Acorns That Fall Out

Picking up Acorns

Acorns will fall out of trees when you shake them! Note that this only occurs in Fall. In the Northern Hemisphere, this will be from September 1st to October 31st, and in the Southern Hemisphere this is from March 1st to April 31st. Their drop rate seems to be rather low, as we had only 1 drop for every 10-20 trees shaken.

Acorns Only Drop From Deciduous Trees

Note that acorns will only drop from deciduous (broadleaf) trees! If you shake a coniferous (pine) tree, you'll get a Pinecone instead, so be careful!
