Is Cloud Backup Saving Supported?
Yes! Use The Island Backup Restoration Service
You will be able to backup your save data by using the new "Island Backup Restoration Service" feature. This will be available after you've updated your game to Version 1.4.0.

By using Island Backup Restoration Service, your save data will automatically be uploaded to Nintendo's Servers. When your save data is corrupted, damaged, or lost, you can recover it by re-downloading it!
Save Data Features
One Switch Will Have One Island
With one console and one copy of the game, players will share one island. This means that anything one player does on the island will affect the other account holders on that Switch.

Up to eight (8) players can share the island on Animal Crossing: New Horizons. This is also the maximum amount of accounts that can be created on one (1) Nintendo Switch.
