Museum Day 2021

To Be Held In 2021 After Update

Animal Crossing's 1.10 update will include a slightly updated version of the Museum Day Event. In addition to being able to play through the event again, players will now have access to a stamp rally in the Art wing of the Museum as well. Check out the article below for details.

What Is International Museum Day?

Special Stamp Rally In The Museum

Event Duration	May 18 ~ May 31

In celebration of International Museum Day, players will be able to participate in a stamp rally in the museum. By completing 3 separate stamp rallies, you'll be able to get special in-game rewards!

International Museum Day Is May 18-31

During Nintendo's official April Free update announcement, a short preview of International Museum Day was featured. Players can get special in-game rewards for participating in the event!

Art Wing Not Required

This museum event will focus on the 3 baseline sections of the building - the Bug, Fish, and Fossil exhibits. Art is not included, which means you can do this event immediately after you finish building the museum!

International Museum Day Event Details

Event Procedure

	Step
1	Talk to Blathers in the Museum
2	Collect the Bug, Fish, and Fossil stamps
3	Go back and talk to Blathers to get your reward

① Talk To Blathers

Starting at 5am on May 18th, you'll be able to participate in the International Museum Day event! Simply go to the Museum and talk to Blathers to start it. You will need to have the museum built to access this event, of course.

② Collect Bug, Fish, and Fossil Stamps

Your task for this event is to collect 3 stamps for each of the 3 stamp cards. (Note that there is no card for Art). Different stamp cards will have different locations on them, so thoroughly check every nook and cranny of the exhibit!

③ Talk To Blathers To Get Your Reward

After you've collected all the stamps, talk to Blathers to get your reward. If you finish all 3 and talk to him, you won't get all 3 prizes at once - you'll have to talk to him three separate times.

"The same rewards are available for you to get today as well, so please give the Stamp Rally another try!"

While the International Museum Day event is active, you'll be able to do the stamp rally and get rewards once per day! The actual rewards you get won't change, so if you don't want to do it again there is no need to.

Stamp Locations Change Every Day

Every day the location of stamps that you need to collect will change. This is a good opportunity to get to know parts of the Museum you may never have been to before, so give it a try!

Added To Your Inventory

The rewards for this event will be deposited directly into your inventory after talking to Blathers - they will not be mailed to you! Make sure your inventory isn't full before talking to Blathers.

Museum Day Not Happening - How To Fix

Update Your Game

In order to take part in seasonal events, you'll need to upgrade your system to the latest version. If you don't have the latest patch, make sure you update everything!

Change Time To One Day Before The Event

If you've been doing time traveling and you've set the date past May 18th, try setting the date to the day before the event and then progressing until the event starts. Doing this sometimes helps solve update issues.

Link Your Nintendo Account

In order to participate in events, you'll need to have linked your User to a Nintendo Account. You can do this from the Switch console settings, so make sure to get it done!

Build The Museum

Although it's somewhat obvious it's worth reiterating: You need to have the Museum built in order to do this event! If Blathers is still in his tent, that won't be sufficient. You'll need to collect the 15 varieties of bugs, fish, and fossils necessary to set up the Museum!
