did you accidentally skip his dialogue? check the bug/fish/fossil section to see if you can find the stamping thingies, he just mentions it 1 time and the event is already started
if there isn't any stamping spots you might wanna connect to the internet again and force check your game for updates

For some reason Blathers doesn't say anything about the event, he just has the normal dialogue. My system is fully updated, I've never done time traveling, my Nintendo Account is linked, and I have the museum built, so I have no idea what the problem is. Will someone please help me?
