How To Meet CJ
Appears On Island Every 3rd Saturday
CJ is the new host of the fishing tournament on Animal Crossing: New Horizons. His regular spawn time appears to be random. However, he will also come to your island at specific times to hold a tournament.

Catch 3 Fish Of The Same Size In A Row
CJ will ask you to catch 3 fish of the same size in a row. The best way to do this successfully is to check the shadow of the fish in the water to determine their size.

To make sure you're able to catch the same size of fish in a straight row, check the size of the fish's shadow. This helps you estimate the size of the fish you'll catch.
No Distinct Rewards Confirmed Yet
When you complete CJ's fishing challenge, he'll offer to buy what you caught. No distinct or special rewards have been confirmed yet in the game.
Sell Fish For Bells
CJ will also offer to buy any of the fish that you've caught This is a great way to offload your inventory after the fishing tournament and make lots of money. It might even be worth it to stockpile some fish to have ready to sell to him when he arrives.

Talking to CJ will also allow you to create fish models or collectibles for free. Just bring 3 of the same fish to him and he'll mail it to you once the model has been created.
