What Are Heart Crystals
Obtained During The Wedding Season
Heart Crystals are special event items which can be obtained during the Wedding Season in June. They are received from Reese as thanks for taking wedding anniversary photos for her.
Can Be Received Once Per Day
You can only get heart crystals from the wedding photo shoot once per day. You'll get more crystals depending on how much furniture you place, so make sure to use a lot!
Trade For Wedding Items
Heart Crystals you obtain from Reese can be traded by talking to her husband Cyrus. You can buy a total of 26 pieces from him. The cost of pieces varies quite a bit.
Items You Can Buy Increase Every Day
The amount and type of items you can buy from Cyrus increase every day as you finish a photo shoot. Once you finish the 7th day's shoot, you'll unlock all items!

You'll need a total of 180 pieces to buy one of each furniture (subtracting the 6 free items you get the first week.)
Buy A Max Of 8 Items A Day
The maximum amount of items you can buy from Cyrus with Heart Crystals per day is limited to 8! If you save up all your hearts and wait for the last day of June to buy, you might be out of luck, so buy your items ahead of time!

Heart Crystals go for 100 bells a piece. However, these are limited-time items which have another purpose, so we don't recommend you sell them. Focus on collecting all the Wedding Season furniture instead.
Give To Villagers As A Present
By giving Heart Crystals to villagers on your island, you'll get a word of thanks from them. However, you won't get anything in return.
Decorate Your Room
As a final option, if you wanted you could simply use Heart Crystals as decoration. If you're going for a "cute" room vibe, laying out a few of these might be an option.
How To Get Heart Crystals

You'll get more heart crystals the more furniture you place during photo shoots. You'll get from 5 to 11 heart crystals. After day 7, you can get 13 or 15 as well. Place as much furniture as you can to maximize the amount of hearts you get!
Earn 11-15 Heart Crystals Per Day
The most Heart Crystals you can earn per day is 11-15. This is because you can get only up to 11 on the first 6 days of the event then up to 15 after the 7th day of the wedding season event.
Furniture Type Doesn't Matter Up To Day 6
Up to the 6th day of photoshoots, it won't really matter what kind of furniture you place. All that will be evaluated is the total number of furniture!
New Themes After Day 7
After the 7th day of photoshoots, Reese will start asking you to do shoots based on specific themes. There are three themes she'll cycle between: Cute, Chic, and Garden. Make sure the type and color of the furniture you choose matches this type, or you'll lose points.
Color Variations
If you press X while selecting furniture to place, you'll be able to customization its color. After the 7th day of shoots you'll get requests for different themes, with more specific color requests from Reese. Match your furniture to this theme to get more points.
Use The Copy Function
If you want to place several customized items, use the photo studio's copy function. Place your cursor over the existing furniture and press ZR to copy. This will save you a lot of time.
Arrive In Mail If Inventory Is Full
If for some reason your inventory is full, you won't be able to get the Heart Crystals right away. Instead, they'll be delivered by mail the following day. This does mean, however, that you can't trade them on the same day, so make sure to organize your inventory space carefully.
