Buy From Leif


You can buy shrubs from Leif's Garden Shop. Leaf will visit your island randomly during the Nature Day event period.

Product Changes Every Time

The shrubs Leif sells changes every time he visits your island. Check his shop occasionally or visit friend's island with Leif's Garden Shop to complete all shrubs.

Bushes / Shrubs - How To Plant & Grow

Shrubs Take 3 Days To Grow

After buying shrub starts from Leif and planting them, the shrubs take 3 day to fully grow.

Shrubs Don't Grow On The Beach


You can plant shrubs on the beach but they won't grow. You can't transplant fully-grown shrubs on the beach neither.

Shrubs Bloom In Specific Season


Note that each shrub only blooms in specific season. If your fully-grown shrub is not blooming, it means it is not blooming season.

Bushes / Shrubs - Breeding & Hybrids

You Cannot Breed Hybrid Shrubs

no cross pollination

It does not seem to be possible to cross-pollinate shrubs to get new hybrid varieties of shrubs like you can with regular flowers!

Hedge - How to Get Recipe

You Need To Clear Nook Miles+ Nature Day Activity


Hedge is technically not a plant and Leif does not sell this. You can get Hedge DIY recipe by talking to Tom Nook and clearing at least 1 Nook Miles+ Nature Day activity.

You can plant them right next to each other but once they grow you can't walk through them!

I really want to know, Do shrubs grow on sand? cause I have a beach home and I thought shrubs would be a nice touch.
