Can you catch a giraffe stag on someone else's island?

Can you further clarify? Is it 100+bugs per save session, per day, total number of bugs caught since you first started playing?

Please define Spawn Conditions of 100 bugs. Is it catch 100 bugs in a row, after 5pm, without catching fish... what are the details?
