The depth of Davdi Island is not just one road. Going there by just following the route is not easy, so use Brightlooms to light up the way and don't get lost.
Go Down South Of Tingel Island Chasm

Depth of Davdi Island can be headed by Tingel Island Chasm which is north of Davdi Island. Mostly you will head bottom south after entering the Chasm. If you end up at a dead end, then look around for a wall that you can destroy. Once you find it, break it and proceed. To the treasure chest there are a total of 3 rock walls so break them all.
How To Get Cap of the Wind Back
Available From The Bargainer Statue In Depths

Once the Cap of the Wind is obtained, it will be available in the Bargainer Statue lineup in Depths, and can be reobtained in exchange for Poes. The Bargainer Statue lineup will be restocked during the Blood Moon, so as long as you have Poe, you can get it over and over again.
