How To Get To Thunderhead Isles
Go After Progressing The Main Quest
Thunderhead Isles will not show up on the detailed map until a certain quest is done. After progressing the Main Quest: Secret of the Ring Ruins, the mist of the Thunderhead Isles will be removed and the map will become visible.Main Quest Walkthrough Guide
You Can Go Without A Map, But...
It is possible to get to the Thunderhead Isles without using the map. However, even if you arrive at Thunderhead Isles, the visibility will be quite poor due to the constant thunderstorm, and there will be a high risk of stepping off and falling down. It is recommended to visit the Thunderhead Isles after the main quest is completed and the map is visible.
Carry Non-Metal Equipment
Thunderhead Isles is always under a thunderstorm, so if you have metal equipment, you will be severely damaged by lightning. Since you will be fighting enemies, you should be able to fight with non-metal equipment.
How To Go To Thunderhead Isles
Use The Popla Foothills Route
|Walkthrough To Thunderhead Isles|
Fly from the Popla Foothills Skyview Tower and head south
You can get to the end of the Thunderhead Isles easily
This route is quite popular. Even though it's not possible to descend to the inner islands due to altitude, it's still easy to reach the entrance of the Thunderhead Isles.
Great Sky Island Route (Requires High Stamina)
|Walkthrough To Thunderhead Isles|
Travel to the Nachoyah Shrine at Great Sky Island.
Ascend to the rooftop.
Jump off from Sky Island (South - direction of Thunderhead Isles) and then head to Thunderhead Isles with Paraglider.
Depending on your Stamina Wheel, you can get off anywhere you want or you can use Energizing Elixir.
You can skip the complicated puzzle.
If you use the route from the Great Sky Island which is farther away from the Skyview Tower, it will be quite difficult if you don't have plenty of Stamina. However, it is possible to jump down to a higher place than the Skyview Tower, depending on your stamina, you may land on a shrine, or the Dragonhead Island which is required for the Main Quest. This route is recommended since you can bypass the complicated puzzle.
