How To Dodge And Use Flurry Rush
Jump Sideways Or Backward To Dodge While Holding ZL
Pressing the ZL button while equipped with a weapon or shield will Focus (Lock-On) on the enemy. In this position, you can dodge attacks by jumping sideways to side-step or backward to back-step.
Easy To Get Around By Side-Step
Using side-step well allows you to get around to the side or behind the enemy, which can easily lead to an attack opportunity.
Move Away From Enemies By Back-Step
Back-step allows you to move away from the enemy and to fight while keeping a distance.
Flurry Rush Is Triggered By Dodging At Good Timing
Dodging enemy's attacks at a good timing triggers a Flurry Rush. While Flurry Rush, you can press the Y button repeatedly to unleash attacks aggressively, which will inflict a great deal of damage.
Point! | Since your weapon can be replaced after Flurry Rush is triggered but before pressing the Y button, if your weapon is about to break, replace it before pressing the Y button. This allows the Flurry Rush attack to continue to the end. |

Tips To Activate Flurry Rush
Familiarize With Enemies' Attack Pattern
Vertical (Front) Attacks Can Be Dodged By Jumping Sideways
When an enemy rushes at you or swings a weapon vertically, jumping sideways to avoid the enemy can easily activate a Flurry Rush. The best way to Flurry Rush is to learn the enemy's attack pattern at the beginning.
Horizontal (Left & Right) Attacks Can Be Dodged By Jumping Backward
When an enemy attacks you with a sweeping attack to the left or right, avoid it by jumping backward, which will successfully trigger a Flurry Rush.
Flurry Rush Cannot Be Triggered By Logh-Range Attacks
Note that Flurry Rush will not be triggered by long-range attacks such as rocks thrown by the enemy, even if you evade at the right time. However, if you are using a shield, you can deflect long-range attacks with Perfect Guard.
Shield Guide - How To Use & Effect | Perfect Guard TipsLarger Enemies Are Easier To Trigger A Flurry Rush
The stronger the enemy, the larger the size of the enemy, and the wider the enemy's swing, the more chances there are to trigger Flurry Rush. If you can recognize strong enemies' attack patterns and defeat them with Flurry Rush, it will be easier to collect weapons and other items.
