How To Defeat Gloom Hands

Image of how to obtain the Master Sword and its performance
Walkthrough
  1. Attack with Bomb Flowers and Fire Fruits
  2. Look for a safe place
  3. Avoid staying amidst Gloom for extended periods while on the move
  4. Phantom Ganon will appear if you defeat it only on the first time

Attack With Bomb Flowers And Fire Fruits

Attack Gloom Hands from a distance using arrows with either Bomb Flowers or Fire Fruits attached. You can avoid Gloom while also dealing damage to the entire area with explosions. Fire Fruit has a smaller explosion, but it has sufficient firepower, allowing you to conserve Bomb Flowers.

Eliminate Them With Bomb Flowers Before They Are About To Revive

When Gloom is on the verge of death, its power will gradually revive, so it requires concentrated firepower to defeat it completely in the end. During the middle phase, using Fire Fruit should be enough for wearing it down, but it is recommended to finish it off using Remote Bomb at the end.

Find A Safe Place

Try to either stay beyond the reach of Gloom's attacks by moving outside of their range or find elevated positions where their attacks cannot reach and launch a relentless one-sided assault. Since enemies are more likely to gather in the same location, it becomes easier to attack them simultaneously by using the Bomb Flower.

Burn And Keep Restraining It When There Is No Safe Place

In narrow areas with no safe spots, attach Bomb Flowers or Fire Fruits to your arrows and shoot them to burn Gloom Hands and stop them from moving. By repeating this process, you can continue attacking while keeping it restrained.

Avoid Staying Amidst Gloom For Extended Periods While Moving

Gloom hands are surrounded by a mist of Gloom. When you touch Gloom, Link's Hearts (health) will start flashing, and if it continues for a few seconds, your maximum value will decrease. Try to avoid stepping on Gloom as much as possible and if you accidentally do, get out of range immediately.

You Can Recover Using Foods Made With Sundelion

You can restore the maximum value of Hearts depleted by Gloom by consuming foods made with Sundelion. Since Gloom Hands also reduce the maximum value during attacks, it is recommended to carry several Sundelion-based dishes to make the battle easier to manage.
