Recovering the Hero's Sword" continues the Main Quest, "Trail of the Master Sword. Therefore, you should complete "Trail of the Master Sword" first.

Start by talking to Great Deku Tree

(The Master Sword is stuck on the White Dragon, which always moves above the ground)

When the white dragon is approaching, fly from the nearest Skyview Tower and ride on it.
Pull out the Master Sword to complete it (2 full Stamina Wheels are needed)

Preparation Before Obtaining Master Sword

Extend Stamina Vessel To Two Wheels

Extend Stamina Vessel To Two Wheels

To pull out the Master Sword, you must have at least two wheels of Stamina Vessel. Otherwise, you will be shaken off from the White Dragon. It is recommended to complete 20 Shrines and upgrade the Stamina Wheel 5 times.

If you do not have enough Stamina Vessels, you can temporairily increase to 2 wheels by exchanging Horned Statue. At this point, there should be at least 10 Hearts, so if you only have one wheel of Stamina Vessel, swap 5 Hearts to a Stamina Vessel.

Know Where The White Dragon Is And The Travel Route

The white dragon moves around the Skyview Towers in each area. Since it flies from the starting position to the left, travel to Skyview Tower first and wait for the white dragon to come to you.

By attacking the white dragon, limited Materials can be obtained. Since the location of the white dragon is always shown on the map during the challenge, it is advisable to farm materials while "Recovering the Hero's Sword."

Available Even After Obtaining Master Sword

After obtaining Master Sword and completing "Recovering the Hero's Sword," you can still farm the materials from the White Dragon. However, the process may become less efficient as the White Dragon's location will no longer be visible on the map.

Drop Materials By Attacking All 4 Parts

To collect materials, you must attack four parts of the White Dragon. You can use Melee Weapons or Bows and Arrows to attack each part. Make sure to aim carefully if you're targeting a specific material.

Uses of Dragon Materials

■Used for upgrading Champion's Leathers
Since it can be used as Upgrade Materials for Champion's Leathers, you should collect at least two of each part when riding the White Dragon.

When used for Food, cooking will be a success and increase the Food effect time.

Fused on a weapon will recover a small amount of Hearts for each hit.

Materials Can Be Collected About Every 10 Min

The Materials of the white dragon can be collected about every 10 minutes. Since they respawn while riding the dragon, it is a good idea to keep riding it and attack its parts every 10 minutes.

If It Falls, Chase It And Collect It

The material sparkles and falls to the ground, so you need to catch it on the way or pick it up on the ground. Try firing an arrow as close as you can to the material and collect it before it falls.
