Sludge Like Battle Walkthrough & Tips

How To Defeat Sludge Like
  • Fuse your Arrow with Water-elemental Materials to hit the target and remove the mud.
  • Approach Sludge Like then shoot its main weak points with Arrows.
  • Focus your weapon attacks on Sludge Like when it's stunned.
  • Removing the surrounding Sludges with Sidon's skill makes movement easier.

Fuse Your Arrow With Water-Type Materials To Hit The Target

First, prioritize removing the enemy's mud. Fuse Chuchu Jelly or Water Fruit onto your Arrow to attack enemies from long range. It's also effective to aim for the enemy's mouth.

Shoot The Exposed Core With Bows And Arrows

Shoot the exposed core with Bows and Arrows while keeping a moderate distance as you prepare for incoming attacks. If you hit, you can stun the target and create an opportunity to deal damage.

You Can Also Hold Your Weapon Ready And Wait At Close Range

In close-range combat, Sludge Like almost always relies on bite attacks. Therefore, once you've removed the mud from it, then approach it immediately while holding your weapon ready and waiting. If you attack the core during its bite attack, you can stun it.

Focus Your Weapon Attacks On Sludge Like When It's Stunned

Once the enemy is stunned, inflict heavy damage with close-range attacks. You must focus your attacks on its core since doing damage in any parts other than its core is almost ineffective.

Remove Mud Again When Sludge Like Is Back

After attacking for a while, the Sludge Like will return. After it dives and escapes, it will be covered with sludge again, so immediately remove the sludge with Water-elemental attacks.

Use Sidon's Skill To Eliminate The Surrounding Sludge

It becomes challenging to dodge enemy attacks when sludge covers the area, so make sure to consistently remove the nearby sludge. In such cases, it is recommended to use Sidon's skill to unleash water slashes to wipe them out quickly.

Sludge Like Attack Patterns

Sludge Eruption

Sludge Eruption is an attack performed by Sludge Like when it emerges from the ground. It scatters a large amount of sludge on the ground, making movement difficult. Therefore, it is recommended to regularly use Sidon's skill to remove the sludge with water.

Sludge Cannon

It is an attack that Sludge Like performs from a distance, shooting three shots aimed at Link. Try to evade it by moving sideways. If you use Sidon's skill, you can guard against one shot.

Sludge Bite

Similar to other Like-type monsters, it follows a similar attack pattern. It opens its mouth to take a bite, so seize that moment to attack the core and try to stun it.

Can You Rematch Sludge Like?

You Cannot Rematch Sludge Like

Sludge Like is a boss that only appears in the Main Quests and cannot be fought in other locations. Therefore, if you want to capture its picture, you need to take photos during the battles in Main Quests. If you forgot to take pictures, you can still complete your compendium by purchasing a Camera at the Hateno Village lab.
