How To Get To Rito Village
  1. Rito Village Guide Image
    It is recommended to tame a Horse first.
    You can find horse southwest of the Skyview Tower.
  2. Rito Village Guide Image
    Follow the road and head to the northwest.
    The tamed horse will follow the road path, no need to control.

    Walk past the large monster sleeping at the Carok Bridge.

    New Serenne Stable is the first checkpoint.
    Activate Sinakawak Shrine near Stable for fast travel.

    The tall tower in the distance is SkyView Tower.
    It is easy to direct towards the destination if you unlock the map.

    Tabantha Bridge Stable, the second checkpoint.
    Rito Village is very close after crossing the nearby bridge.

    Cross a thin pier after climbing the slope.
    There is no problem ignoring enemies on the way.

    Once arrive at Lucky Clover Gazette, get off the horse as you can bring it in.
    Pick up Hylian Pine Cone nearby.

    Drop Hylian Pine Cone on bonfire next to NPC.
    From Inventory, Hold Hylian Pone Cone→Drop.

    Use the updraft to fly a paraglider and cross to the opposite cliff to reach Rito Village.

What To Do In Rito Village

Activate Gatakis Shrine

Go to the far right from the entrance of village

When you first arrive at Rito Village, activate Gatakis Shrine in the western part of the village. It is not the first priority but it is going to be useful later on for fast traveling back to Rito Village.

Purchase Cold Resistance Armor

Wind Temple near Rito Village requires Level 2 Cold Resistance. You will only need to purchase one more armor to reach Level 2 Cold Resistance if you already obtained Archaic Warm Greaves. Save up some Rupees as you will need at least 500 Rupees to buy armor.

Prepare Extra If Using Food To Resist Cold

Level 1 Cold Resistance + Cold-Resistant Food will be able to survive in the Wind Temple, but food has a time limit for its effect. Make sure to cook more than enough to complete Wind Temple so you don't freeze to death in the middle or dr boss fight.

Carrying Fire Type Weapon Is An Option

Fire Type Weapon

It will not display in the game but carrying fire type weapon gives Level 1 Cold Resistance. You can make fire type weapon by fusing Ruby + Magic Rod or Fire Breath Lizalfos Horn + Weapon. Weapons will be limited, but you can change Armor freely.

To continue on the main quest, head towards the lookout stand to talk to Teba. Walk in a circle around the village to climb up to the lookout stand.
