How To Save
Basics Are Saved Automatically

In Tears of the Kingdom, autosave is automatically executed. It is an automated system dedicated to saving your progress that depends on the distance traveled and time.
Up To 5 Autosave Files Possible
There are 5 slots for saved data. The default autosave data gets overwritten from time to time as you progress in the game so if you want to save a specific instance, do a manual save first.
Press The '+' Button & Select The Gear Icon

You can open the system by pressing the '+' button and select the gear icon by pressing the 'R' button. The save screen gets displayed where you can select "Save" to manually save your progress.
Up To One Data Can Be Saved
The autosave cannot be stopped so be careful when manually saving as you only have 1 slot for manual save data.
Can You Stop Autosave?
Autosave Cannot Be Stopped

You cannot interrupt the autosave when it occurs so be mindful when to do a manual save since you can only have a single slot for it.
