How To Transfer Horses

Can Transfer As long As You Have Data From Breath Of The Wild

Horses can be transferred as long as you have the save data from Breath of the Wild is in the main unit. No special work is required, you just have to have it on your Switch.

Transfer Is Only Possible On First Startup

The transfer is only possible the first time you start The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. If the save data is on the cloud, it will not be recognized. Also, if there is no saved data at the time of initial startup, it will not be possible to take over with that data.

Go To The Stable & Transfer

Once you are sure you have the data on the device, start the game. After you get down to the Surface, you can go anywhere to the Stable to take over the previous Horse.

What To Do When It Does Not Work

Check If There Is Data In The Switch

If for some reason you have no data on your device, you will not be able to transfer the data. If you have a cloud save, download it first and then start Tears of the Kingdom.

You Did Not Catch The Horse In The Previous Game

The Horse transfer simply allows you to use the Horse you caught in the previous Breath of the Wild. You will not receive a Horse as a transfer bonus if you did not catch a Horse in the previous game.

Master Mode Horses Cannot Be Transferred

In the previous work, there was a higher difficulty level called Master Mode, which was added as a DLC. Horses obtained in Master Mode cannot be transferred in Tears of the Kingdom. Only normal mode Horses can be transferred.

WiiU Version Cannot Be Transferred

If you have played the previous WiiU version, it is not possible to transfer your Horses from there. Horse transfer is only possible for the Switch.
