How To Deal With Heat

Equip Armor With Heat Resistance Effect

Environmental Heat can be prevented by equipping Armor with the Heat Resistance effect. You can purchase a Heat Resistance Armor at Kara Kara Bazaar, located just after entering Gerudo Desert. It costs 450 Rupees, so if you don't have enough money to Leg, you should go there after you have scared up the money.

Make Food & Medicine With The Right Materials

Heat can also be controlled through the effects of Food and Medicine with corresponding materials. Compared to Armor, there is a limit for its effectiveness, so it can be used to compensate until you get the right Armor. Using the right materials will add the effect of Heat Resistance.

You Can Also Use The Shade

If your Heat Resistance runs out, you can also go into the shade so you will not be affected by the heat. You can also wait until night to avoid Heat damage.

Difference Between Heat & Flames

Heat & Flames Are Different

Heat and Fire are similar but are different statuses. Without Flame Guard, you will get on fire and take damage. Keep in mind that Fireproof is essential in Death Mountain caves and other locations with fire.

Flame Guard Armor For Sale In Goron City

Armor with Flame Guard can be purchased in Goron City. You can stop by there and buy it before attempting to go to Death Mountain.

Wooden Equipment Will Burn

If you hold wooden equipment in a Fire area, it will burn. When you open the inventory, you will find a smoke-like effect on the wooden equipment. Keep them in the inventory, they will not burn, so it's better to use metal weapons in these areas instead.

What Is Heat?

Climate Specific To Hot Regions Like Deserts

Heat is a phenomenon in which the body temperature rises when entering a hot region, such as Gerudo Desert. It is essential to take countermeasures against it since it will gradually damage Link.

Check The Heat With The Thermometer

You can determine if Heat Resistance is needed by looking at Link's thermometer. If the meter turns red, heat resistance measures are needed. Be careful not to leave it without countermeasures since you will get damaged.

There Are Two Levels Of Heat

There are two levels of heat, and in places where the heat is severe such as deep in the desert, Heat Resistance alone is not enough to counteract the heat. It is advisable to use 2 Heat Resistant armor or 1 Heat Resistant armor with Heat Resistant food to increase the Heat Resistance to Level 2.
