How To Get True Ending

Clear All Main Quests

In order to see the "True Ending," you need to complete all Main Quests except for the final one. This also includes viewing memories using Geoglyphs, so make sure to watch all the cutscenes beforehand.

Geoglyphs & Dragon's Tears

True Ending Can Be Unlocked When Achievement Rate Is 21/23

There are a total of 23 Main Quests. By challenging Ganondorf with 21 quests completed, you can achieve all the missions. It is necessary to acquire the Master Sword and complete the Dragon's Tears

True And Normal Ending Difference

Normal Ending Ends With Zelda Dialogue

After defeating the final boss, a cutscene will play where Link and Zelda descend to the surface, and have a dialogue. If all Main Quest have not been completed, the credits will then roll and the game will end.

True Ending Includes Additional Cutscenes

The True Ending is the same as the Normal Ending until the credits. However, if you have cleared all Main Quests, there will be an extra cutscene of around 6 minutes after the credits.

Save Data Gets A ★ When The Game Has Been Cleared

Even if you defeat the final boss and watch the ending, the game cannot be saved after the boss is defeated. However, it will be marked as cleared with a ★ added to the save data. If you finish the game with the Normal Ending, you can still achieve the True Ending by completing all the Main Quests and defeating the final boss again.
