How To Buy A House

Talk To Mr. & Mrs. Hudson In Tarrey Town

In order to buy a house, you will need to go to Tarrey Town first and talk to Hudson. When you talk to him, you will receive the quest "Mattison's Independence". You will be unable to purchase a house until you complete it.

Tarrey Town Location

  2. Talk to Rhondson
  3. Talk to Mattison on the second floor of Hudson's house
  4. Talk to Mattison in the square during the day and answer the Gerudo Language quiz correctly

  5. talk to Hagie and rent a rail car (20 Rupees needed)
  6. Use Ascend from the cave under the Hudson house and enter the room
  7. Move Hudson's Board in front of the door by using Ultrahand
  8. Place Hudson's Board in front of Mattison to block his view
  9. Talk to Mattison, go to Hudson's Construction, and then talk to Hudson
  10. Collect 10 Sundelion and give them to Hudson

Sundelion Location

Sundelions can be collected at the Sokkala Sky Archipelago, which is located far above Tarrey Town. It can be reached from the Ulri Mountain Skyview Tower northwest of Tarrey Town. Other Sundelion blooms may be found on Ruins that have fallen from the Sky.

Pay 1,500 Rupees To Buy A House

You can buy your own home by talking to Rhondson after completing the Mattison's Independence quest. You will need 1,500 Rupees to purchase the house. Earn money by selling items at the store in Tarrey Town.

Secure A Travel Location At The Shrine

Since you cannot fast travel straight to your home, you should unlock the Rasitakiwak Shrine. This is right next to your home so you can use it as a fast travel point to get there. You do not need to clear the shrine, just wander to the entrance.

What Can You Do In The House?

Free Hearts Recovery

In the bedroom that you get when you build your house, you can recover your Hearts for free! This is useful not only for recovery, but also for changing the time.

Store Weapons, Bows, & Shields

Three items can be stored per room with the stand. Up to three of the same type can be set up, so a maximum of nine similar items can be stored. Basically, priority should be given to creating these stands!

Cook Food

Once a Cooking Pot is purchased and installed, you can cook Food within your house at any time. Food itself can be made in various locations, so building this should be lower in your priorities.

Keep A Horse

You can keep one Horse at your house. Since you have to come all the way back home once and travel is the main way to get around in the second half of the game, consider purchasing this when you can afford the Rupees.

Pray To The Goddess Statue

If you set up a Goddess Statue room, you can strengthen your Heart Container and Stamina Vessel at any time by simply coming back to your home. However, since there is a Goddess Statue nearby in Tarrey Town, purchasing one is a low priority.

Paintings Can Be Displayed

When you show a copy of a painting to Graneda, he will draw it up as a painting, and you can hang the painting in the room. This is just a feature to make the room more stylish.
