For me, tuna and blue marlin is very common. Every time it’s raining I will hunt for coelacanth but end up with almost a full inventory of blue marlin and tuna.

Anonymous 17

Definitely horse mackerel size, found off the home pier during rain but CP does state Sea, dunno if the weather affects spawn rates.

After running around looking for a golden trout for a while and only getting a char, I wondered back to the museum and handed it back in. Stepped back outside and there it was, small fish... Could this be it? YES!

Anonymous 15

I just randomly found this while casually fishing, I thought I remembered hearing something about how people were trying so hard to find this fish. Guess I remembered correctly.

Anonymous 14

caught one at about 9:30 pm on my island off my dock with bait while tuna hunting. still havent found my tuna :(

Anonymous 13

caught one at a friends island just randomly while I was fishing.

Anonymous 12

Went through around 500 bait trying to find this fish on my island. Finally gave up & went to a nook island with no bait & after about 30 minutes of casual fishing I found it!!! I also caught a coelacanth (not my first but worth a lot of money!). Anyways if you’re having trouble go to a nook island.

Anonymous 11

Caught one off the pier on my own island using bait. Also caught a coelacanth same way on the same day in northern hemisphere.

Anonymous 10

I don’t see any reason why the spawn would stop in multiplayer, it’s just a regular fish

Anonymous 9

Can you get one while playing online or its like the spawnrate where tarantula stops spawning with with online friends

Anonymous 8

Just caught one on nook mile trip (pond, cherry tree, coconuts). No bait. Smaller is size.

Anonymous 7

Yes horse mackerel size shadow, caught of my pier northern hemisphere around 1130 pm using bait

Anonymous 6

I just caught two on my island with in 10 mins. The are small in size

Anonymous 5

Are they only on nook mile trips? I found mine on a nook miles trip. I could not find one on my own island.

Anonymous 4

Just caught one, it’s indeed horse mackerel size

Anonymous 3

From what I've seen in videos and heard from friends it is actually horse mackerel size (small.) Have not caught one first hand so cannot 100% confirm. Been trying for to long lol

Anonymous 2

Anonymous 1
