This is the last bug I need to catch, but I can confirm that you need to catch 50 bugs prior that very same day

I've been looking for this and the giant stag for hours and they will not spawn. what am I doing wrong? I followed all the instructions to make a nook miles island that can spawn it. I'm in the southern hemisphere at the correct hours. Is there something wrong with the game?

For anyone wondering about the spawn conditions, I believe it's 50 bugs in your criterpedia. I just started the day, hadn't caught any bugs yet and the very first bug I saw was a scarab beetle.
