It's certainly not pointless to use bait. I stockpiled 100 bait and it saved me so much time not having to run around and find fish to catch.

Pointless to use bait. You'll spend more time getting the clams and crafting than you will catching fish.

A lot of the prizes from the tourney can be customized. Print, drying rack, doorplate, among others.

There is no TV

Have gotten 300 points in total and got all the rewards except for the wall mounted tv, after I got them all once I would get dupes non stop. Wall mounted tv is probably a fake reward.

So far I have received 13 of the 14 mentioned rewards. The 14th being the TV. Having spent a further 40+ points since then and only receiving duplicate rewards, I think the posting of a Wall Mounted TV is false.

I got a little fish bag, a bag shaped as a fish. Blue color.

There is also a Fish rug you can get from the competition

He mails you a fish trophy, the tv was from HHA****

I broke 3 rods to get all items, and did not get the wand last. Other items include fish pochette and anchor statue. CJ mails you a wall mounted tv (20 in) if you earn 100+ points.

I got an anchor statue from C.J. when I traded in my points.
